What Putter Grip Do you use and Why?

This is pretty much the switch I made. I had a Deep Etch on a Jailbird Mini. I kept the stock grip on my stroke lab 7 for a little bit but have been using the SS Traxion Pistol GT 1.0 for a few rounds now. I like the slight Pistol at the top of the grip and very flat paddle on the front. I agree, its not too big, not too small, and definitely not too round. I do think if there was a non-cord Deep Etch in a midsize/oversized grip that was in the 100-110 gram range I would try it out right away. The only option seems to be the Bettinardi cord version which is around 130g.

 

I pulled the stroke lab weight (luckily with the black putters, its just held in with o-rings) and added the counter core 25g to get the within a few grams of the stock weight. I think this one will stick around a while.

See your local PGA pro, seek advise, take a lesson or two, THEN, buy the soft thing on the other end of the flat stick. That route will be cheaper than buying a zillion grips and do the testing (and regripping).

I’d love to try a grip master grip but without buying it there’s no opportunity. Does anyone know what would be close to the Scotty Cameron cord grip in shape and firmness that grip master would offer? And would I like a grip master if I enjoy the Cameron cord or baby t like grip?

My Newport came with a Super Stroke grip and I’m not sure how I like it. Been playing an Anser 2 for 20+ years with a PP58. Probably headed that direction. 

 

Feels like I get more feedback with the firmer grip.

Evnroll's gravity grip for me. Narrow, flat sided, and deep in the palms. I bought the gravity grip branded one to throw in my Sik Flo C as well.

I just started using the Super stroke Traxion Tour 2.0 and love it. Also a fan of the oversize grip on odyssey putters. My used 2-ball ten putter had a Super Stroke pistol 1.0 on it and I could get use to it. Found the Traxion Tour to be the closest to the OEM grip.

I've tried many grips over the years -- from the barely more than a thin rubber layer over the steel, all the way to the biggest of the big in the Superstroke Flatso 3.0. 

 

After all my research I've determined that I like whatever grip comes stock with the putter I buy, but do have a solid preference to smaller grips. Those giant monster grips take all the feel out of putting for me

Tiger doesnt use the Pingman anymore, hes got the deep etch cord

Gravity Grip on my ER2! It’s hard to go back to anything else. It really performs as advertised in terms of keeping the hands square.

Ping PP60 midsize. Fits my hands so much better than any SuperStroke. I need another but unfortunately I've only found them on Golfworks.ca website and they don't have an option to ship to the US.
