What Putter Grip Do you use and Why?

My putter grip is call Black Matador made by SC for my 2011 California Monterey putter.  It works comfortably for me while keeping my heavier putter weight at D5 swing weight.  I like greens to be 11+ stemp.

Golf Pride Pro Only - Red Star.  Gives me enough surface that I can get a strong grip while allowing me enough feel to release the putter head back to square with my slight to mid arc stroke.  Went with a mid slim for a short period of time and almost quit golf as my putting was terrible.  Went in for a fitting at a Club champion and tried a couple of similar putters, same toe hang and characteristics with different grips and was amazed how important a putter grip was to the swing and feel.

The best putter grip that I've ever used is the Ping PP60.  I have one on a Heppler Tyne and decided to put one on my old Rife Abaco when the time came to regrip. They just feel perfect in hand to me.  Strangely, I have the PP60 on both of my backup putters, but my gamer Spider X still has the stock Superstroke Pistol 1.0 on it because the putter has felt so good from day 1 that I haven't wanted to ruin the "magic".  The SS Pistol 1.0 is a pretty good grip too and is comparable in shape and size to the PP60, so that helps.

For those of you who went from smaller and lighter to bigger and heavier, or vice versa.... how does this change the feel for you? On a sw scale it will say one thing, but i never give sw changes from a grip much credibility. Lets say i have a putter with a smaller type grip on it. It feels fairly light to me (the head). 70g grip. Would a larger and heavier grip make it feel a littler heavier? Or a lighter grip?

Heavier grip will make the head feel lighter, a lighter grip will make the head feel heavier.

For example I play a 360g head and use a 55-60g grip so the head feels pretty heavy but I find it perfectly balanced for me.

Both make them heavier? My current head is 362g, 70g grip. I find that my preferred balance or feel is adding about 20-25g headweight. There are a few grips out there that are 55g, so that would help but im sure i would need to still add some weight to the head.

No sorry error on my part. This is what I get for posting in a meeting.

Heavier grip will make the head feel lighter but overall putter weight goes up. This is basically counter balancing.

Lighter grip will make the head feel heavier.

Lamkin Deep Etched Jumbo Cord made for Bettinardi. You can order on Bettinardi's website. Heavier grip helps to counter balance heavy putter heads. Great for humid conditions where your hands are sweaty, I find Superstrokes way to slippery for my taste.

Have you tried the bettinardi sink fit jumbo? I found these To be awesome, a touch lighter than the jumbo deep etched and feel so good in the hands. Rubber all the way over the super strokes

I use a Salty Mid-Plus cork grip for my putter.  These are a little lighter of a grip at 37g as opposed to most grips of the same type (mid 50g range).  This allows a for little higher swingweight which allows me to swing the putter and stroke the ball smoother.  The 1.15" straight grip quiets my right hand which had become a bit too over active in recent years.  I have not putted better in any time period I can recall, even when I was in my mid 20s and playing 100+ rounds a year.  I absolutely love this grip and what it has done for me and my putting.  The only problem is that it is now difficult to get these grips as they are sold out on the website.  Good thing I am not looking to replace my gamer any time soon.

I really wish these were in stock. Does anyone have any other similar recommendations? I have a SuperStroke Mid Slim 2.0 and it weighs 50 grams but I want something lighter to increase the swing weight of my FGP. It's only 330g so I want something a little lighter in the hands.

I saw these on eBay.  These look very, very similar to the Salty grip.  Almost identical but a few grams lighter.  There are some differences but they seem to be light.  It also appears that it is a mostly round grip which might not be too bad.  If it is indeed round I would end up filing a flat area on the front of the grip, making it a couple grams lighter yet.

Thanks for that link. I might just take a flier on one of those. I saw Saltys on eBay but they're from the UK and with shipping it was like $75. That's double what I paid for my putter haha.
