Ping i59 irons - 2021 Wells Fargo Championship

I'm starting to think there may not be an i230, and that these are it.

BP/i59/425/525/710

Maybe 5 are indeed enough?

I agree..always thought the 210 pros would just wait for the 230s if they were coming... instead of going i59 then 230s. On second thought..I really don't know what the pros would or would not do

As I said before, it looks pretty clear that they are a progressive set. iBlades were not progressive in their blade width. Plenty of pros have taken up the Blueprint because they're awesome. But you can't also have a bunch of pros take up your '3rd' set like the i210, and have anyone buy above it. Strange problem to have in a sense, but I think they won't use that i230 mark, which is not unusual either.

Who knows, though. Not me. 😉

Ping-logo-283444624.jpeg 410LST 9º (TourX) RogueST 3D (ADDI 6X) [OMG what?], 425 3w 14.5º (TourX), 430 3h 19º & 4 iCross (HZRDUS Red 6.0), i230 5-U, G4 54º, GFP 59º (DART105F4). 2021 Fetch (BGT Tour Black).

"Golf is just a dance with a stick, and a ball tells you how good a dancer you are."  LCP150mm in your fairway should be a full-time rule.

All this has done for me.....as much as I want BP - I'll just hang for 2nd hand market, then build to my spec.

I will order i59 .....6-pw

And

Wait......

They're back in my bag for the 100th time. A fresh set just sold on the Bay for $550, didn't even last 1 day. How many other major OEM's have an iron set from 2012 commanding that kind value?

That being said, I'll be demo'ing the i59 as soon as possible.

That pic seems to give more credibility to @karstens_ghost comment about progressive blade length & these being a potential 210 replacement. Maybe it's just the fact that I want it to be true that is making me see this, but the long iron (4?) looks pretty long from heel to toe.

the iblade also has progressive blade length thats noticeable in the long irons (much more so than its predecessor s55)

The iBlade is definitely not progressive. The 5 iron and pitching wedge are the same face width.

iBlade / s56 -i actually think the s56 6i is longer heel to toe at address

The G series is where progressive blade lengths show....not the i or s imo

Looking forward to their announcement. I'm holding off buying MMT shafts to see what happens with stock options, but the wait is killer. I can wait 4 months for the sticks, but I gotta know what's up.

Loved reading this entire thread, and all of your WITBs are rad - even saw another i25 hybrid in a bag.  PING Ho myself, been bagging i210 for nearly three years.  Love the look of the i59, not in a hurry, we'll see what they come up with for 210 replacement (if any) over the next year.  This may be the panacea we've all been asking for - an i-line with a more compact shape and progressive design.

I agree I don't have much problem waiting if you've got an idea of what's going on. Ping has pretty much gone dark for a good while now. I cant imagine they are happy about the situation but Im sure they will kick out the jams as soon as they can

Ya, I bought a set of MMTs to put in my Blueprints. I'll wait patiently on i59s, now. Maybe up to a year. We'll see.

The i59 barely has any offset and the i210 has a good amount for a "players" club. Why are people so fixed on blade length progression?

Ian Fraser, from TXG, even said that there will be no i210 replacement this year. Even the photos that were posted from the PING Tour truck on this site have the i59 side by side with the iBlade. That must tell you something.

It's Open Championship week...

Will we finally get clarity on i525, i59, and i230? Or just more bread crumbs to drive everyone nuts?

Did we ever come to a conclusion with what on earth is going on with Ping iron replacements?! Will there be replacements for both the 210 and 500 or will it be just the one iron replacing both?! I’ve been trying to get a set of 210’s for about 9months now, Ping gave up on fulfilling my order and I haven’t been able to find a set elsewhere 😩 I have very much depreciated my mates spare set of P760’s while waiting for Ping this year!
