At least mine is all newly cleaned and painted and very very spiffy. Even Bambi and Tiffany have seen it. Pretty pathetic C1.

Explanations needed please P3P regarding two photo's.

Photo one. What is that grey building off in the distance behind the green? Some observation post that looks out into the sea?

Photo five. One walks down all those steps to tee off looking directly up into the hill, or maybe that is the second section of a par 5 and one has to descend those steps to get to get their ball and hit a third shot. Another question is how many yards does that golfer in the photo 5 have to cover to carry that junk on the hillside?

I speak for us all when I tell ya sir we have certainly enjoyed your sharing of these breathtaking photos from the historic Irish golf courses you played.

Thank you P3P

Character Turnaround by Laura Henderson on Dribbble

I'm going in a different direction.

I wish to change a pick please G1. I just saw that the game was moved from that old as dirt dome in Voodoo town to Jacksonville, FLA.

This means the Saints will have far less mojo tomorrow. I will toss out my N.O Who Dats pick and replace it with the Tennessee Titans -3 at home against the  Red Birds.

Thanks for updating it new commish.

 Vegas better be paying attention.

How Nashville Became One Big Bachelorette Party

Over the last decade, Nashville has become one of the nation’s leading non-Vegas bachelorette party destinations. The bachelorettes are a vivid symbol of the city’s rapid gentrification — and the pitfalls of a new, “experience”-driven brand of tourism.

Seems like there are plenty of party girls enjoying libations in the state of TENNESSEE.

Tipsy hotties as customers all the time? It's really not too bad. There are far worse crowds folks. Just imagine how much more fun things became for me when I moved from buttoned up Washington D.C. to the hot and sinfully scorching Vegas Strip. 😃

Tip well girls.

The building is the clubhouse. And no, it’s a bit of fairway for those who don’t heed the advice and go left. There were about 6-8 holes with 100’-300’ cliffs into the Atlantic as the hazard.

3rd photo here is from the tee box looking up to the fairway.

Those first two pictures (out of all the outstanding one's you have shared this week)  may have best captured for me what it was like to play such amazing holes in Ireland. I will vote the second photo was my ABSOLUTE favorite of the week. Thanks for answering my questions.

Changing  picks once again new commish.

I'm currently 0-2 following my Tampa prime time pick last Thursday.

I just learned Tannehill is not playing for the Titians due to Covid, he is vaccinated though. Drop my Titan's pick and give me the Lions at home +7.5.

I am backing off my RAMS prime time pick as well. Instead for my third pick I will take the Steelers + 6.5.

So for my remaining two (new) picks today I am doing some dog. (s)

But don't think for a minute I am solemn or depressed. Why no, I'm actually rather cheery for NFL football is finally back.

Both the Pennsylvania teams getting a win on the road kind of shocked everyone I feel.

I'm headed to South Carolina with no.1 in the morning. We are meeting up with Mike and Carl from Tryon to try a new golf course that Mike has a connection with. The golf course is in Gamling, SC. The heat has returned to our area so it will kiss 90* tomorrow as I am losing Bridgestone's in Lindsay Land.

Going in with a medium level of confidence.

*!  Devin you forgot to select a division winner out of ONE DIVISION (the NFC SOUTH or WEST or the AFC NORTH or EAST) last week. You'll now get a 48 hour extension, but when that expires that's it. Just take one !

Remember with this play one can't lose,  but if you are correct it is a ten point bonus.

Well after watching another home opener loss. The pick should have been the Chargers. The Team never seems ready at the beginning of the season. Fitztragic suffered a tragic hip injury because we have a less than stellar offensive line.

But the Chargers a re legit. So a tip,of the cap to them.

I still can’t help but love my guys in burgundy abs gold like a classic tragedy on Broadway performing each year to sold out masses and later in their run just drunken asses.

The team still goes back and I reckon we can all still dream about days past and brighter days to come. When I have no clue?!

I dropped this into the Travel forum, but thought I would copy and paste here for the crew.

I was probably sitting and waiting with @jly for the plane without electricity for movies or reading lights.  Here are some musings about my first trip to Ireland.

1. Fat guys don't metabolize french fries very well, but fat guys when presented with fries for breakfast absolutely love it.

2. Single lane roads do not equate to one way, and your GPS doesn't give a fig about easy routes.  I enjoyed the driving, but a couple of times it was hairy.

3. The Irish are wonderful hosts.  Having been to many places in Europe and UK, by far the kindest most helpful country we have encountered.  At the James Fort we remarked how good the food was at the coffee/ tea house and the owner gave us some recipes and some jam... you can't make this up.  We just felt so lucky.

4. We went to a local hospital to get the Covid test, the guy checking in to return to US next to me at the airline counter had a test which wasn't accepted, so beware.  He was not happy about it.

5. My trip was not a golf trip per se, my wife and went over and I played some golf, and she joined me on two courses.  So here is some golf-y type ideas depending on the group.

6. I used Hidden Links, and Michelle was with me the whole way in the lead up, setting up nice places to stay, good recommendations for both travelers, etc.

- Lahinch and Ballybunion are hard tracks for those of us with average games.  I guess people might enjoy it with higher handicaps, but I am glad I played those two solo.  At Ballybunion I was lucky enough to paired up with the pro, who eviscerated the course... I did not.  I get the sense these are "must plays" but I wouldn't expect to cut the place up.  They are hard, and the others with whom I played at Ballybunion had trouble just clearing the heather from the white tees.  Did they have fun?  I don't know.  These two courses also remind me the ideals of American golf course design are simplistic and not essential.  Some wonderful holes were played which my American friends would deem unfair if they were on their home course.

- Waterville is a fantastic track and perfect for those who are not strong golfers.  Very few carries, but the green complexes are difficult.  I really enjoyed it, and of the 4 courses I played, if you held a gun to my head and said, "You have to join one."  This would be the one because it is absolutely challenging, but also playable for everyone.  My wife, who is not a strong golfer also really enjoyed the course, and our caddie was knowledgeable and fun (Connor for those who may be seeking a caddie).

- Old Head Golf Links, what can be said that hasn't been said before?  We both played this one, and it is impressive.  We had a bluebird day and the views are absolutely stunning, and the cliffs upon which it sits are unreal.  It was a fabulous day.  For the weaker golfer I encourage them to take a lot of golf balls because the cliffs are steep and it is a ball eater.  The history was great and our caddie was absolutely top notch (Terry) in regard to giving me the lines and letting my wife lose golf balls and then walk around to take in the views.  He was the perfect amount of "golf" and then "tourist" when it came to the history and the spots to see.

After fries for breakfast, its salad for me...

I truly appreciate your pics and the informative reviews.  Thank you for including us on your journey to Ireland.  Perhaps someday my wife and I will make a similar trip!
