Have the Euros selected their captain for Rome? I'm thinking Westwood is probably coming up soon, maybe even Sergio as a playing captain (likely his last if this one isn't). Who are the others in consideration? Donald maybe?

Ice man at some point but would be more likely when/if Swedish male golfers re-occur in the team. Remotely likely as of now.

with the trajectory of the European Tour they're going to quickly run out of successful players for captains consideration. I don't think where they play should be a factor. Will they deny Rory and Rahm when the time comes? Don't think so.

Jimenez missed his chance when Clarke and Bjorn got it, he said it himself in interviews and has no interest in it now.

 

He said the captain has to be close to the tour and he no longer was as he played seniors.
