I have an old TeI3 I've been contemplating sending to them, but I've been hesitant to go without it for a few weeks/months since it's my gamer.

Better have a good backup, the best I've ever done is a seven week turn time with heads only.

Abh, 

     I sent it out on Aug. 20th from TN and received it back on Sept 21st from CA. Sent by USPS priority mail. Cost was $112 all in, they totally reset the insert in epoxy, refinished the putter then all new paint fill. I was super happy with communication, speed, price and most of all quality.

     I checked all the main places and most have similar reviews and prices are fairly similar. What sold me on BOS is that they supposedly did the finish on these putters when they were new. It appears that way after getting it back, we will see how it ages but now it is better than I expected.

I am thinking of sending a 1998 Newport to BOS because I hear they also finished them for SC. Thanks for sharing. Great looking TeI3.

Does anyone know if they will leave an insert as is and refinish the rest? I love the patina the inserts have over time.

     I think they have to take it out unless you want the copper to have the black oxide finish. Not sure how the white epoxy dots on the back would react to the finish either?

Yeah, they just pop the insert out when they refinish anyway. Call and ask for Sherry and specify it on your form. Should be no problem. They 100% did the original finishes on these so they will be as close to factory original as you can get as long as you send one in that the topline isn't destroyed.

Looks awesome! I actually just purchased one from LeftyScotty's on IG that was refinished by them in 2021 also. How do you clean the insert? Did they provide any information when you got it back? I am in san diego so can always make a trip up to the gallery to get an opinion.

...technically, yes. Proprietor August worked for Scotty. The building bos is in now actually used to be Scotty’s studio before he moved down the road a few miles. Lots of history in that building

Looks like they did a great job, I just purchased an original 1998 and it’s in decent shape given the age but does this company do anything about the dents and dings or just put a new finish on? The one I just got isn’t destroyed but, it would be nice to have it buffed a bit as well as the new finish, epoxy, paint.

Sicilia, Mine was almost mint except for finish when I sent. They will buff it out but if the dings are deep, some will be noticeable.

They do some ding correction and they did the original finish on these putters. They are 1/3 the cost of Cameron who will no longer offer the original finish. Pretty easy decision really.

Looks amazing!  Can you let us know what finish you went with?

Should be amazing. They finished all of Scotty’s tour putters back in the day.  Only choice for a Cameron refinish IMO. Most authentic.

      This is their Shiny Black Oxide. Original Finish supposedly.

I have a Sante Fe (same generation) that I’ve been thinking about sending in. It’s in pretty good condition for it’s age, so I’ve been holding off. Thanks for sharing.

Do you know how much ding correction? Wondering if they can fix the topline? Been debating on an older cameron and having BOS fix it up, but not sure how much to correction to expect?

BOS does very high quality work as shown! Great to see examples.....
