Ugh. Sei Young tears up her front 9, but after two bogies on the back she's even par on her closing holes. Thought she might go crazy low. 

 

So Yeon started great, but has been stuck in neutral. 

 

Might be a two player shootout tomorrow.

I sorta do.   That course can give up a 63, I think.

yeah, i think 3 shots back can be overcome...I would say Patty is probably the most likely to do it.

Patty has been flying under the radar a little bit, particularly as Pajaree has been garnering some attention for being the top finish by a Thai player.      Patty looked like a silent assassin today, just going about her round.  Her short game kept her saving par and she was striking the ball well and putting quite well.

 

On another note, Sue Oh is putting together a good tournament.  She just may help @Supermilo make up more ground!

Now that the LOVELY Hee Young Park is basically a P/T pro....we can maybe give SYK a new nickname....The Rocket.

But I do like SYK's current nickname...Bada**.

 

I'm rooting for a JYK win...In Bee is too BORING.

I'll fanboy Su Oh or Patty for a win too.

 

Cheering for a Lydia or Minjee win on the KLPGA.

 

But I've been on a HUGE losing streak with all my fav sports teams for 2 weeks...UGH.

She's an exceptional ball striker yet unusual golfer, still capable of some outlier stuff. Still learning the pro ropes so that likely explains it, still generally doing very well.

 

Maybe the mental side needs some work, maybe she needs the right caddie? If she gets that side sorted, she will be a a solid top 10 world golfer within a couple of years (she's not very far off that now of course), absolutely fabulous swing, close to faultless: 

 

 

 

Maybe needs to improve her putting a little, too.

I'd say the putting needs more than a little work. She's currently ranked 1st in Total Driving, and 3rd in Ballstriking. However, she ranks 137th in putting average, and 74th in putts per GIR.

Agreed - get that sorted plus some self control/decision-making issues and the sky is the limit.

There are a number of players who are having a good week - that REALLY need a good week!  Sung Hyun Park, Cheyanne Knight, Andrea Lee, Maria Fassi, Bianca, Jaye Marie Green.  They must have noticed the season is ending pretty soon.

It's funny how Americans have adopted the ECP (Entitled Canadian Princess) as their own.

I think it's because they need a blonde to root for when the US gals weren't performing well a few years ago with the Korean domination.

 

I'm a Canuck....but neutral on Brooke....but tons of Canadians are Brooke fanboys.

I mean I like her aggressive style of play.  Seems like a nice enough person.  But maybe her and Brittany can figure out a way to fit a Keurig in her bag so they can enjoy a coffee (Tim Hortons naturally) while they discuss their next shot.

Spotter . . . lots of errant tee shots on that hole as the tee box does not align with the fairway.  Or perhaps Inbee has him there to give her the line to take off the tee box! 😛

Shocking is too strong a word. Surprising finish? The gang here was right, a number of players could, and did, go low to make it exciting. I'm just surprised that Jin Young and Inbee only managed two under rounds while 63's and 64's were there for the taking. 'Even more surprised that both of them failed to birdie the final hole to force a playoff. 'Probably should add Patty to the group, too. 

 

Tip of the hat to Celine. I don't think she was on anyone's radar today. 26 putts is pretty sweet.

 

Like Jin Young and Inbee, Brooke had a ho hum stretch on the back nine. Overall great round, but one more birdie on the back gets her a shot in a playoff.

 

Maria did what she had to do. 'Not sure I agree with Judy's assessment of her play since the Dow. She did manage a 15T at the Evian, but then followed it up with a missed cut and a 51T. Today's points should really help.

Quality play from Fassi for sure. I didn't hear Judy's comments about her play, but I did hear Judy talk about how Lexi has become so confident in those short putts...she clearly wasn't watching the LPGA while she was on her little hiatus.

Today's round on holes 10-18 was the best that Brooke played it all week . . . albeit, only three rounds.  Yesterday, starting on 10, the had bogeyed 3 of the first 4 holes.

 

 

Incidentally, I believe that Celine fed off of the energy from Brooke today and vice versa . . . the only one left out was Cheyenne Knight.
