2022 Cobra Forged Tec Irons

I didn't think the top line was bad on the 6 iron of the forged tec-x at club champion. I never tried the players distance forged tec though. The fitter made it seem like there wasn't much difference and I was looking for a little more forgiveness as I play once or twice a week. He said they're expecting them to come in early April. Can't wait to take them to the course.

The previous forged tech’s (2020) were IMHO, the best looking in its category.  Cobra does offset the best.  The fact that they achieved such little offset in such a forgiving iron is pretty fantastic!  I’ll be curious to see these in person as well.  Not typically the style of iron I play, but they always interests me in their designs.

 

Cobra puts out some really good gear.  Their irons have been super consistent and just so slightly innovative in the same line over each release cycle, speaking to the amp forged / fly z+ / kft / MiM with the MiM’s showing the biggest jump in tech.  Reminds me a lot of how Titleist has evolved the ap2’s to T100’s.  Not a lot of change in looks outside of the cavity design, except for the release of the MiM’s.  Same great iron.  It’s always the set I want to pull the trigger on and never do.  No real reason why.  I might have to change that down the road.

Which CC location were you fit at and who was your fitter if you don't mind me asking? I'll be going back to CC to get my gapping done once they come in. Hoping early April.

On the catalog, didn’t have any stock graphite. Going to have to go custom set route. From current FT on cobra website, it’s $100 upcharge plus added $ for more expensive shafts.

Isn’t a crazy up charge in the end compared to other main brands though, would probably get better picture when preorder’s start to open in Apr or getting fitted/visiting places and talking to staff

The titleist comp is t200. Haven’t hit yet but I also see this in the p790, i525, mp225, rogue pro category. 
The lofts on the FT are super strong

Anyone have a breakdown of the lofts for each version coming out next month? I would think the standard version will be the same as the current model but then again maybe not. X version looks interesting.

If you do a search someone posted pics of the catalog.  Iirc, depending on the iron, lofts were either the same or within a degree of the previous model.

They did?  I never saw a link or picture of the catalog, but was wanting to look through it for shaft and grip options.

 

Can someone send a link to the 2022 Cobra Catalog (if it's been released?)

Man, those lofts are insane!  How do you do a combo FT/FTX set?  Have two '5' irons I guess?  Since the FTX 5iron is same loft as the FT.  

 

Even so, the FT lofts seem awfully jacked.  Wasn't expecting to see a 29.5 deg 7 iron.
