Probably correct but still would expect a few more notables to be there.

Here's the full list:

So, no A-list celebs to go with the B&C list defectors? Color me shocked.

LIV has brought to light what I'm sure other entities keep secret. Where the PGA Tour has an advantage is their affiliation with corporations and the charity aspect. LIV will never compete in that realm.

LIV better eventually compete in that realm or they won't be around in 5 years.  All the talk of Saudi "sportswashing" was and is total nonsense.  While I'm sure part of their goal with LIV is the potential to soften the attitudes and win the hearts and minds of the west over time, that is not their primary motivator.  They are trying to diversify their investments and see sports (in this case golf) as an avenue to make a lot of money.  With more and more developed countries introducing newer forms of alternative energy into the mainstream the Saudi's know that while oil is still king today, it may not be 20, 30, 40, etc years from now and its better to get out ahead of this while they still are extremely wealthy to explore other revenue streams to fortify and expand their wealth.

The Saudi's are absolutely banking on the fact that they can make LIV a commercial success that they can package and sell in some capacity whether it's TV/streaming deals, corporate sponsorships, team ownership, etc.

why even target little ol golf that nobody cares about

if they really wanna stir the pot then pay the top 10 NFL QBs 100 billion each to not play football

don't even bother setting up the rival league

NFL is trying to go global with the England, Germany, Mexico games.

Won't be long before there'll be European teams, but they'll be part of the league, not rivals

Everybody relax, I’m here

What totally escapes you and therefore you fail to understand is that it's actually quite brilliant, because it will draw a LOT of viewers!

Bedminster will be even bigger than Portland and it's only going to get bigger and bigger with the bigger cities.

Bigger?

Is that why they have their players pimpin discounted tickets?

Ticket Master has them for 3-4 $'s each.  They can barely give them away.

But don't worry, their website will still say they "sold out"

https://golf.com/news/david-hill-liv-golf-horrendous-truth-charles-barkley/

So how does this work again?  Not just directing this question at David Hill, but the many millennials/Gen Z out there.  Let me get this straight, most viewers of golf are over 50, and a big chunk over 75.  So to make golf fresh, and attract the younger generation, I am going to start a league of "over the hill golfers", commissioned by a 67 year old shark, play on courses designed by 82 year old Jack, and broadcast production will be by 75 year old David Hill (he is truly over the hill! wow, can't make it up!), and announced by two old guys who started playing golf with persimmon???

What am I missing here?  What's the saying?  "Fools and their money...."

I am not one to normally paint groups with a large brush, but LIV is making it easy.

Jeez...are you serious?  NFL already had a Euro league, for a long time.  They finally got tired of losing money and closed it down.  And they even smartly tried it as a developmental league hoping to bring players into NFL; it failed.  Getting fans to a game to watch American teams is doing well in its limited schedule, but that is a far cry from actually getting quality play from the local talent (less).

No. Unfortunately we won't, if Monahan gets his way.

I understand that is his wish.  However, and I fully understand there are some big ifs in this statement, when there is clearly one or multiples of the top ten or twenty professional golfers in the world locked out of the majors it will illegitimize them.

Let's say the best golfer in the world, through OWGR points or even just the eye test, is on LIV at some point and he is not in the field at the US Open or The Open due to being barred (even from qualifying methods/playing in), that sort of stifles their abilities to "test the best" or "identify the best" in the world, etc.

On the other hand, if the majors are when and only when the very best golfers in the world form all major men's professional tours come together, that is a really, really big deal.
