Years ago, people used to say that most men should watch the women because they played a similar game. That is not the case, anymore. Most of these ladies can pound it! The only similarity I saw to the every day club player,was the ladies have more hybrids and fairway woods than elite men.

I've lost some interest in the game for this reason.  My ball flight and swing tempo matched a lot of players when 250 driving distance was typical.  May need to downgrade to junior golf soon as the athleticism of the female players (of all age) keeps increasing.

 

I also think the clubhead designs have changed a bit such that higher lofted woods and hybrids are now liked by (relatively) higher swings speeds.  These clubs used to spin like crazy whereas now you just get a nice high ball flight.

Only one near the middle of the green.

With the Ross greens, I see a lot of roll off's and 3 putts in the field.

Yeah they were talking about that on the telecast in round 1 or 2 as I recall. Someone said they had looked at the pin sheet and thought they looked relatively easy but then got out on the course and realized a pin cut 9 paces from the edge might just be only a pace or two from the roll off edge.

I agree.  They've placed them in spots where you can get Ross'd pretty easily.  🤣

But there's nothing the chasers can do, only a couple scoring holes and hang on and hope Minjee and Mina get wrecked lol

The final is anti-climatic.  I thought the true final was the Djokovic match.  What an great match and the crowd was electric.   Happy the Nadal will likey get 22 and increase his lead over Djokovic.  Would like Roger to get one more but that is not gonna happen given his health.

The only way Minjee gets "wrecked" is by hoisting numerous alcoholic beverages after she hoists the USWO trophy. Apologies in advance if that was a jinx...😬

Poor LeBlanc.  She was doing decent and did enough to make the cut but then forgot there were two more rounds?  @woahnelly's bold prediction that she would beat Brooke didn't quite pan out 🤣

 

Was pleasantly surprised with Brooke.  Didn't see a whole lot of her but given her recent whoas, this has got to be a postive development.

We made the bogey on 18 on Friday, so we could make a point😇 ......... as for Brooke lets see how she putts today, 1 round isn't quite a break through lol

I don't mind hard, but a little consistency would be nice. I understand keeping it manageable for the first two rounds, but they should have put some bite in it yesterday.
