Taylormade Stealth 2……it’s happening?????? Black and Red

I've had the Stealth driver and hybrid for several months now. I screwed it on my old shaft the day it released.  It's cool with me, zero problems, I'm only around 115. I've owned every one since the m1. I cracked a couple of the early ones. I haven't cracked one since the m3. My m5 through sim 1 and 2 were great.. the one thing I've noticed through them is the sound. The acoustics so far with the Stealth is my favorite. That and I haven't really put a blemish on the face yet. Through the rest of them, I'd have a warn sweet spot, nothing on the Stealth.

Still haven’t managed to hit my Stealth Plus further than my previous EF Sub Zero (it’s about 5-10 yards shorter), but I think it is a tiny bit more forgiving (same shaft). Going to try to play around with the weight and some lead tape to optimize distance, but in terms of consistency I am finding the fairway more.

however the above may be because the stealth plays a bit shorter when I use the same shafts.

i swing at around 130, have had my stealth since launch and havent cracked it yet. i hit around 100-150 drives a day. i cracked my og sim 1month after getting it and went through 3 different sim 2 max heads last year. durability feels better on the stealth imo

130mph my goodness. That’s unreal

I am more surprised by the 100-150 drives a day. Thats ridiculous. I wish I had the time for that (I'd spend it on the course though. But still...)

If you heard it from people on the internet, then I'd take it with a grain of salt.  My Stealth+ is going strong and I'm not getting rid of it any time soon.

Exactly you can't believe everything you read on the Net.   The Stealth + has been a great driver for me so far this year.....I love the Feel at impact & the look suits my eye.  I feel confident I can hit great drives & it shows in my fairways hit this year.

TM were swift to send me a few Stealth+ Head, the face didn’t break or dent in but the other cover (the red more sticky stuff I don’t know how else to explain) cracked/chipped just off the middle off the face and since then the club has sounded odd and gone nowhere. Sent photos and they sent me a new head a day later

8* Stealth + here and it’s the longest , straightest driver I’ve ever had. I’m a high speed, high spin guy, so it’s def a fit for me. My gold standard is OG Sim, and Stealth + is just an easier to hit version of that

I can see how people wouldn’t like Stealth if you weren’t in the appropriate model, loft , and shaft. Mine took some tweaking but I know my own stuff fairly well. The + model is not intended for your standard 25 handicap that swings it 90mph

No issues with durability here. Yes if you hit it off the top of the driver or the toe, or it falls off your cart - it might get damaged 😂

Quite honestly , I can’t understand how people damage so many clubs thru regular play

Well I put a ball through the center of the face so there's that....

140+ here and my first stealth lasted a month.  I've got 2 weeks on a new head and the sound is starting to change, so I expect it to fall soon too.

PGA average was like 115 last I looked. Can’t imagine most OEMs are designing heads with your speed in mind. Thank goodness for warranties or else you would have to buy in bulk! Haha

I caved.  I just swapped TSI 1 3 wood and 7 wood for the Stealth.  I find the lighter weight driver works for me but not the fairways.  Tested the new Callaway as well.  Fancied trying PING and TSI 2 but store didn’t have them and I didn’t want to wait.

Rogue felt easier to hit but got slightly more distance and accuracy with the Stealth.  Have previously had M2 (loved but didn’t like the paint that could chip) and M6 (didn’t like the loft gapping so changed). The Stealth have reminded me just how powerful TM fairway woods are.  Loving them and now wondering about the driver with the custom shaft that the Average Golfer got fitted with on YouTube.  Looking out for a fitting day now!

I think I’m done with the Stealth+. After getting my warranty head, took the plastic off this morning - 4 range balls to warm up. 3rd tee shot on the course this happened (zoom in near middle of face at the top crown)

face popped out/loose from the head. Was confused why the shot before that basically had top spin despite being out the middle

They can’t be this crap surely. My swing speed is above average at best (118). This was only 7 shots, last head at least lasted 4 months

Ha, yeah.. I mean after reading some of the speeds above.  At 45, I'm cool with that. This year I've been playing for thirty five years, and it was the first time I've really messed around with a launch monitor. I'm not far from being passed by my son and his friends, if they haven't already.

Its amazing to see how many 130-150 mph swing speeds are on here. Id love to see some numbers. Are we sure we aren't talking about ball speed here boys? haha. Products are not meant to work at these speeds over and over if this is truly the case. Look at any long drive contest and there is consistently 5-7 drivers in their bag for this reason. I have spent a lot of time around the stealth product and have seen 2 fail and these were basically from misuse or shots consistently hit on the far edges of the face near the weld/glue lines.

I’m just here to heap praise on the stealth so far. I understand the frustration for those that have had issues though.

I played 9 holes yesterday and after being outside in the heat all weekend I did. It have my best stuff. The opening tee shot was so far off the toe. Flew high straight and still cracked 300 yards. Couldn’t believe it when I saw where it ended up. I was just happy it was still in play haha.

Im very curious how they can improve on the design. Hopefully it gets a little more durable for our high ss brethren here.

Is it too early to go digging through their patents? Lol.

That's quite the speed. Like some of us posted before these aren't meant to be hit over and over at these speeds and that thing looks like its been through it with quite a few turf marks on the sole. Any time a driver hits the turf that much the integrity will be compromised if I would assume correctly. But as posters said before, try to see if they will warranty this, TM has always been good with that.

At his speed those might even be high speed tee marks on the sole.  It's not supposed to hit tees at 140mph either

That would be the widest tee ive ever seen. You can see the peeling from a mat on the front of the sole there. Have seen this many times with irons off of mats. Yes these clubs arent meant to be hit at that high of speed often, but high speed and a mat is even worse.
