Just wish TM would release a 435/440 CC head as well.

If you want a modern 440cc head Callaway is your best friend.

I actually just ordered a TSR4 this morning after a fitting the other day. I’ve had a stealth all season but will get a ball every now and then with sub 2000 spin that falls out of the air. Just always liked the looks of a sub 460 TM club like the M1 440 and M5 Tour. SuperDeep was also a bomber back in the day

I can’t believe so many people think the Stealth isn’t forgiving.  The Stealth plus is amazingly forgiving for me.

If the spin isn’t optimal for your swing then no driver will work. I know a college golfer who used the stealth plus all year and had the same issue with low spin. He moved to the cally triple diamond non LS version and it’s way better.

It’s not like it’s the lowest spin driver out there but some people just need more spin.

This x1000. I fully support the buy before you try mentality here. I pretty much live my golf life by it. But, there’s definitely such a thing as a poor fit. For me the stealth plus is as or more forgiving than the 425 lst was last year. And on top of that it’s way longer. But, for someone else, maybe it doesn’t suit their swing. I’ve seen that too. Good friend of mine is a + handicap but produces a ton of spin with his driver. The stealth plus was most definitely not the ticket. Doesn’t take away from the quality of the club because it doesn’t fit a few individuals.

or myself for example. I just went in and hit a very forgiving driver. But, I play a fade and anything outside of dead nuts spun like crazy. So, anything that wanted to go right naturally went way right. I know it’sa forgiving driver. But, based on the results it would be a pretty bad fit for me.

I'm not sure why people say that.  I think it's a very forgiving driver overall.

I agree. The Stealth is very forgiving, the Stealth+ not as much.

Kinda like what's been mentioned above - I think the level of forgiveness (or perceived level) can vary player to player.  Personally I won't refer to the Stealth as an unforgiving driver, however in the short time this past season where I put the standard Stealth in play, I found it less forgiving than my TSi2 (which I went back to and stayed with following the stint with the Stealth).  But at the same time, I wouldn't be surprised at all if someone else said they find the Stealth to be the more forgiving of the two.

Sign me up for a Stealth 2.0! TP or not!

Cheers,

Alf

Yep, that’s the standard TM release cycle.  Probably won’t get any details for a couple of months unfortunately.

I think TM goes boring/safe this release cycle and releases Stealth 2 and the story will be much like the SIM2. Perhaps some carbon on the sole? Maybe the aluminum ring comes back? I find it hard to believe they will remove the weight track as the Stealth Plus and SIM were/are the more preferred driver on tour.

I can totally see an all black  SIM 2 looking driver with a “refined” carbon face and weight track touting more forgiveness and not necessarily marketing it as “longer.”

And as a betting man, I bet we see a return of the R series driver in 2024.

I would agree with the safe release, although I want a stealth that is more like SIM2 lol. And while I would like to see the R series return I think it's unlikely.

I was told by the local rep in Ohio he will get to see the new woods in November.  The New P7MB,MC and 770 should be right around the corner.

i saw the p7mc's last week. they look pretty similar to the previous version, just a little less of an obnoxious weight  chunk on the back. Same with the p7mb's

I was at my local pro shop and the guys were talking about the new stealth 2.0. TM Reps were saying the fitting heads are going to be coming out soon. December-ish is when we should start seeing them.

The og stealth has turned me off of Taylormade but maybe the new version has worked the kinks out.

And some of us simply can’t seem to get along with a TM driver 😞

I’ve hit the Sim 1/Max, Sim 2/Max, Stealth 1/Plus and just can’t get along with them sadly. Push fade or big hook every single time. Do just fine with every other brand out there, but the TM heads just won’t go straight/draw for me.

300 Mini is great for me though. Would be nice to see them split the difference, it’s been a long time since a 440 release for them.
