I agree, plus sleeping on the floor would get old after offering the wrong advice on club selection or wind direction.. 😉

How could I so forget Mina Harigae caddie being her partner as well .. that's all they talked about when Minjee ran away with it at the US Open , that and the money 😂

I was hoping Ashleigh would pull this tournament off just because it would be far more life changing for her than In Gee. Lydia again competed well but costly mistakes at times cost her any realistic chance of getting into a winning position. She must be one of the best scramblers on tour but she still needs to get it better off the tee. Canadian Open next and she is already a 3 time winner so 🤞. Jin Young Ko's performance was poor again is there something wrong with her or is she on the way out? That's the trouble with being at the top there is only one way to go after that. Mingee Lee is clearly the best player going around at the moment and another good tournament. Jin Young's lack of tournaments is keeping her safely at Rolex #1.

I think JY got a new swing coach, could be making some adjustments. Who knows if her wrist injury from last year ever fully healed or she's had to compensate her swing somehow bc of it.  Minjee will likely be the new #1 at the end of the season, deservingly so.

Looking at the previous winners, Ashleigh was the first to win while shooting over par since Jiyai Shin win with a +1 final round in 2012.

Lydia chalked up her 9th Top 10 of the season, 60% of her events. She's tied with Atthaya. Lydia is 5th in scrambling at 64.29%. Hyo Joo currently leads the stat at 69.80%.

What a grind that playoff turned out to be. As soon as In Gee hit the bunker I figured it was over. I didn’t enjoy the format at all, hopefully they toss that in the future. 3 hole aggregate would have been much better. It was a tad monotonous replaying the 18th. The ending helped make the tourney more exciting though. Hated to see Ashleigh stumble in with that triple and overall mediocre final round but she made amends and I’m happy for her.

There was some surprising final rounds. In Bee was in the group with In Gee and she shot +8 I think. Few others had challenging rounds too. Was a bit surprised to see a few struggle mightily like that.

Lee6 and Shibuno seem to be pals. Is this why Shibuno was cheering for Ashleigh?

It would seem from some of Hinako's social media posts that she was cheering for Ashleigh because of their shared experience in 2019 and that it seemed fitting for Ash to have her turn to win.

and EKPs husband is D Kangs caddie ?

Really? When did Ollie and EKP marry? Also, sorry if I missed the comment but wondering what happened to D. Kang teeing it up this week. Congrats as I was hoping to a Buhai win. Love Chun but rooting for the older gals plus it's a nice story.

Danielle is out indefinitely with a tumor near her spine I think.  Diagnosed about 4 - 6 weeks ago.

So reading this thread, one thing is jumping out at me.  And not saying one is right or wrong, just really noticing the difference.

If a player in the men's event would have had a 5 shot lead and needed a playoff to win, I'd be a rich man collecting a nickel for every time the word choked was printed.  There would be discussions as to whether they were mentally tough enough, got lucky, etc.  The closest I've seen here is the post about "shoot that high on final day maybe you shouldn't win."

Just an interesting double standard is all....

Just my 2 cents

Who is the more mentally strong: a player who shot even par 71 on Sunday to win by 4 or a player who gave away a 5 shot lead and comes back and wins a 4 hole playoff with stellar play.

Had she lost on the other hand than "she's a choker" moniker would have applied.

Latest news I found was a health update indicating she would miss Evian and the Scottish Open.  I would presume her not showing up under entries for the British implies she is still not healthy enough to compete.
