I don't get it. Why do they not show the current round scoring on the leaderboard graphics? Are they running short of 1's and 0's? I'll gladly donate a few. 

 

Seriously, if you're going to put up a graphic, show the player, total score to par, current hole, and current round score. Sheesh.

Agreed.   Though not on every single graphic, but on a larger graphic from time to time or when they go to commercial.

I think if she par's out she's probably fine for most of the field.  A really bad Sunday is probably +4 still too far for most everybody, outside maybe 3-4 players

I don't know.  I've always found the "today" to be overrated.  The fact you have made 6 birdies so far doesn't mean you'll make any more, IMO.  The tournament's status is what it is.  No bonus points for later or earlier round success.

That's exactly what i did when confronted with the post-round interview from round One with Shibuno. I could not hear the question, could not hear any translation, could not see any visual translation...a total waste of my time.  

 

Speaks highly of the incompetence of the organizers to present such junk.  And  certainly no reflection on Shibuno here, only of those who put her in front of the mic.

Genuine question... who is “Cindy” ie is that a nickname for Shibuno or In Bee

 

(similar to “Jenny”= being Shanshan Feng’s nickname that I found out belatedly!)

My assumption was that Cindy was short for the Cinderella in Smiling Cinderella, though I did have to think about it for a bit.  Heh. 

 

The NBC coverage was a bit weird (as usual).   They showed Shibuno's 2nd shot reaching the green on the par-5 17th and then NOTHING else from her - not her eventual birdie putt on that hole or even her finishing up on 18.  I don't think her playing partner, Kyriacou, was shown at all during the NBC telecast.  I did see some of her shots on the front 9 on the USA Channel coverage.

No one's mentioned it, but wasn't Buhai dominant in 2019 when the princess of the Forest last won? As I recall, Buhai was leading deep into R3 before flaking. She was 3 ahead of Shibuno going into the weekend that time. This time, she's 5 ahead with a round to play! However, that miss has to be in her mind. I see Buhai as one of those players who is very talented, but not a cold-blooded killer - despite 3 South African Opens to her name. She's not quite queen of the Chokers, but appears to get a little bit flaky in contention.

 

Anyway, that's a bi-line. Bring on the golf! I'm watching it all live tonight, uninterrupted - with a deep brew of coffee to sustain me. My tip, golf wins!

I don’t want to see Bihari collapse, which is highly unlikely, but I’d love to see one or two players shoot their way into the tourney early. Buhai has put on a clinic but it would be more entertaining if we see a little drama.

I didn't think she would back up the Friday round yesterday but she did. We'll see how she reacts today.
