Sihwan Kim at the LIV Boston event goes 87-63. In 25 years of following professional golf I've never seen that big of a turnaround from 1 round to the next. Heck, even playing in AM events I've never seen that big of a disparity, I've seen 15-16 shot differences between rounds but 24 shots is unreal. Anyone else seen a bigger stroke difference from 1 day to the next?

Troy Mullins set a new women's long drive record with a 402 yard drive. She is very appealing with a great personality.

I've actually always really liked Villegas. Like his swing (and his style). Sorta guy you look at and think "he'd be really fun to have a beer with". Rooting for him to get back on the PGAT.

I watched for an hour yesterday. I liked the golf course, a little hilly, not tricked up to the max. Mickelson doesn’t look good in shorts, he was back to his smirking, non stop head nodding and cap tipping self. DJ is a beast when he’s on. If this was a full field event around 40 players would be within 5 shots of the lead, the course is not selective. When Cam Smith doesn’t have his A game he appears a little average. With 4 holes to play the YouTube channel had 66000 viewers, that’s less than in Bedminster. I would have expected more, given that the PGA takes a break. And I begin to wonder how long it will take until Norman has a little motivational talk with DeChambeau and Koepka. They simply don’t seem to care. That’s what you get when the money is in before the performance.

I may have to watch this. Phil may phinally defeat his nemesis Chaise Koepka in an epic battle of golf mediocrity!  Hasn’t happened yet this season but Phil is close, only one stroke behind.

Yeah both Brooks and Bryson been kinda underwhelming. They might be looking for outs in those contracts!

 

I like watching Matthew Wolff with his weird swing more. And he was probably a steal

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this, I’m starting to think that the biggest upside of LIV golf is that people can post videos of their favorite players in action without fear of it getting taken down. I don’t watch much professional golf live outside the majors so it’s nice to see everyone posting their favorite videos. 
 

it seems like all the videos from the other tours get taken down immediately.

I watched some LIV golf and I have to say it was enjoyable. I enjoy seeing other courses and there was some good golf being played. It could be improved if they kept Norman off my TV, I've just liked the guy.

I'd like to hear from Sihwan Kim what the difference was from him shooting 87 on Friday to shooting a 63 on Saturday. 24 stroke difference is crazy difference.  Was it something physical or health related or just played bad?

I'm noticing a trend in the courses. They're all 7400 yard carbon copies of each other, maybe The Intl is a little more pleasing to the eye.

Greens are a lot firmer, so full shot high-lofted clubs are spinning back a lot more.  

 

I also kinda dig the graphic they throw up on the screen during tee shots on Par 4 and 5 holes.  It shows a line around say 275yds out, and the average scoring on both sides of the line.  Sometimes it is half a stroke difference.

I do really like Troy.  Good on camera personality, can actually pound the ball a mile, and, of course,  she's very photogenic.  Too bad she's buried on a YouTube broadcast.  Hope she eventually can find a bigger platform for her talents.

Yah but she's working for a company that is known to overpay its employees, and there is no fear of going over budget, as there is no budget. I think she's probably doing much better on YouTube than she would be on golf channel/NBC  in a similar role.
