Next Season’s Bag; same or different?

Cracked my driver last month so I am playing with my old driver (it is performing admirably) so I know that will eventually get swapped out in the next year. Also, all this LAB putter talk has me very likely buying a DF 2.1 in the next few weeks. I have tried almost every loft of fairway wood so there shouldn't be a reason to get a new one of those. I am also eyeing (as I do every year) a utility iron...so yeah. The only things that (should be) safe in my bag are my irons and wedges and my trusty hybrid. I only play with 12 clubs so there is always a risk of me getting a new club to slot in there.

Really everything but wedges and putter. Will get new MG3s for the spring as mine are pretty worn already. Irons are hard as I like the P730 so much, looking if I can find a like new set or see what TM is coming out with blade wise next. Fairways are more than likely getting a refresh. Driver is probably least likely to go.

Haywood is coming out with my new putter and woods at the end of the year I'm dying to try. But that's about it for changes. My current driver and woods are working well.

Nah, I'm definitely going to make changes.

My putter is locked in, and wedges are safe until they wear out. My 7 wood is safe, though I may go with a UB 8X or DI 9X shaft instead of my DI 8X. On irons, it's more the shafts that aren't settled than the heads ... but sometimes just buying new irons via Discount Dan's with the shafts I want and selling my current irons is quite a bit cheaper than replacing the shafts.

I'm always tinkering with my driver. And I haven't sorted out the two clubs that'll be between driver and 7 wood.

Good news Mr Ping.....  will be extensively testing the G430 as the 410 and 425 didn't make into the bag. G400 has been money but is getting retired if you come through.

Good news Mr Cameron.... looks like a 2020 NP2 or the new model will join the putter corral. Previous models know the bag spot is always in free agency.😎

Going through a swing change currently and also using the superspeed sticks so I plan on getting a new driver once I feel comfortable with the new swing. Had my eye on the stealth plus but might hold off for the replacement and have always loved ping drivers so I’ll go in with an open mind. The putter, 4 wood, and gap wedge are all locked in, the rest could change

It's probably pretty set. I may replace my 60° but that is a rarely used club anyways so I can probably get away with leaving it in for a bit. I have a 4 hybrid that could be replaced, but really should just have it regripped. 5 hybrid may be redundant with the new irons, but could also regrip that too. Irons are locked in, definitely not going anywhere. Driver is good but may try to find a 9 or 9.5° head to test out, probably not though. 3 wood can be a beast, in a good way, so that's staying. "5 wood" is favorite club to hit, so that's staying until it absolutely doesn't perform. Putter is okay.

I've worked hard on my gear so I know it's me, not them. I think if I do change clubs it would probably be just a round or two depending on weather or the old put the putter in time out.

Bag is mostly set. Multiple fittings this year, and a new 3 wood, 5 wood, and 3 hybrid was put into play. 4UDI and irons got new shafts. Driver got updated to a lower lofted head with new shaft, and got a new putter that is perfect.

Club that will likely see testing:

1. Driver: Still playing an F9. Changed from 10.5° to 9° turned down to 8° due to going from -1.5 AoA to +2.5 AoA. Did a fitting and nothing current gen beat it, LTDx LS went even with tighter dispersion, but not so much tighter that I’d burn the money for it. If Cobra releases a driver update in the spring (very likely), that will make the F9 4 generations old, so will do the usual testing. LTDx LS head will likely be the route if it’s cheap enough, or TSi4.

Club(s) that will wear out:

2. Wedges: 58° is starting to show its age in its grooves, SM7 from the start of the SM8 cycle with a lot more practice and play this year. Likely to stick with 12D grind, but might go spinner shaft route or something with full face grooves. 50° and 54° see much less use so grooves are fresher, but may also see a refresh depending on off-season.

For the first time in my adult life, I am going into the fall with plans to sell off all but two sets.  I've gotten old and don't want my wife to have to deal with this pile of stuff should something happen to me.

To validate this commitment, I "sold" my beloved Eye 2's last week to a neighborhood kid that was playing with a mismatched set.  I say "sold" because I made him pay something so he had skin in the game.  The price was inconsequential.  It's just time to enjoy my days in the sun on fresh cut grass without worrying about anything but the moment.

I'm keeping my Hogan Ft Worth Blacks and my trusty MP-18's.  Two bags with 12 and 10 clubs respectively.  The only thing of value that's left are 2019 T100 and New Level 902 PD's that have less than 10 rounds on either and those will hit BST or Fleabay soon.

Got a fully upgraded bag this summer. 2 sets of irons in reserve. I’m thinking maybe build a second bag with the new Ping G430 driver, 3 wood, 2 and 4 hybrid. Time will tell.

i have Kuro Onoff 2015 irons and New level 623CBs in reserve. Edel wedges. I would consider doing a set of the new hi toes to round out the second bag. But it would be a downgrade from the edels.

Been playing my JPX 900’s for about 4 years now, really lusting after the MP 225’s, but am going to make myself wait until late winter/spring to do a Mizuno fitting.

G400 Max isn’t going anywhere, same for the G400 5 wood & G425 7 wood. Also still like my Mizuno Cleek hybrid

Played around with an Odyssey  11 putter the other day at PGASS & really liked it, so that’s a possibility.

I'm swapping my irons and likely my driver/wood shafts.

Irons I'm going from JPX 921 Forged/Modus 105 to Titleist T200/ Vista Pro 60R.  Just got a fitting last Friday and was surprised by the results, apparently I do way better with a lighter shaft and heavier head in the D5 swing weight range.

Definitely getting back to taking lessons too.  I feel like my putter is the only safe club in my bag currently.

I am looking at changing about half my bag going into next season for various reasons. Looking at new irons, wedges, my actual bag, and on the fence for the top part of my bag.

I am planning on buying a new carry bag, I like my Ping bag but not a fan of how faded/worn out it gets, so looking for something that doesn't fade quite as fast (Vessel or Stitch maybe). I have played Callaway X-Forged CB irons for the last two years, numbers in fitting were solid but never felt confident over the ball specifically with the short irons  and their shaping (should have researched more before buying). Finally, I will probably be going back to Vokey wedges after trying a handful of other brands, another confidence related thing and so many options for grinds and bounce. Only thing with top part of the bag would be shaft tweaks, I really enjoy my Titleist woods.
