New forged cobras?

I’ve heard rumors of a new forged cobra blade coming out this year. I played golf with a cobra brand ambassador who said he hit them and to hold out until they come out. Has anybody heard anything?

I'm sure with the lack of success the RF blades had compared to their past model...Cobra is probably itching to get another offering out there to replace them.

The black King Forged blades were so so good.

If it's a new cb/mb combo and a MIM tour update... please take my money. Maybe with a consistent look across the board for a change? Would love to setup a combo with King Tour at the top and CBs at the bottom.

I still find the lack of success in them so sad, just because I game them and they really are a great iron.

Totally agree.  I do not have a set but I hit them when I was fitted for a new iron set and I loved them.  I just was not ready to game that 4 iron haha beautiful...and intimidating.  Thought they were great irons though.

Right now I still have the 4 in my bag, looking to replace it with a utility 4 soon of something else. It is definitely a knife... but a fun knife to say the least. I highly recommend that if you ever can find a set for a good price, take advantage of it.

I think they look amazing. I have become more of a cobra fan now then ever before. I literally just ordered a new set of irons. Had I not, I would have waited to test these. 
 

i got fitted for a new driver. The cobra went the furthest. Just didn’t get the same consistency as the TSR. The fairway wood was my number 2 out of my top 3 choices. Cobra is doing great stuff!

The shaping and profile is nice. And im sure it performs great. Not a fan of the chrome framing. The back is a little busy with all those black lines. Im just nitpicking my own personal preferences

I don't think it tops T100 or i59 for looks but it is a massive improvement over the giant king the plastered on everything in 2020; their cleanest looking players iron in quite a while IMO. For finish, my personal preference order is DBM black > satin > chrome, but what I care about more though is the offset & shaping at address; seems perfect to my eye and is always one of my favorite aspects of Cobra irons in general. 

 

I wonder if they went back to the traditional forging vs. the MIM... would guess (hope) traditional forging since you don't see "MIM" and they are in Rickie's bag but just a guess.

Yea the thing with chrome is i dont like the mixing of chrome and satin, which these do. All chromed out like a mizuno mp looks good, or all satin. Mixing of the two just for some reason makes it look cheap (IMO).

Strong vibes of the Fly-Z+ Forged irons on this new CB.  I think it looks great and will be a contender for the short-end of the bag for next year.  Based on some comments from my rep in passing, it sounds like Cobra might be after a full overhaul in 2023.  He's always been a bit of a hype man but he says that the 2023 release is, in his opinion, the best Cobra has done yet.  They typically launch their woods late in the season to get some Christmas traffic and early adopters and buzz going into the PGA Show.  It wouldn't surprise me if we start to see some LTDx 2.0, or whatever, pop up.  I know Bryson has been talking about a prototype driver on his YT Channel for a few months now.  Based on the success of the 3D printed putters it gets me wondering if they are going to do a space age material 3D printed drivers.

 

As many pointed out, it would be nice to get a traditional CB/MB back in the line.  The MIM was nice, great shape and nice feel, but the traditionalists are not going to fall in love with a non-forged head.  I also think they would be smart to make a commitment to offering the OL in every iron and hybrid they make for say 5 years.  Really give it a fighting chance to take off.  I am sure there are a lot of people out there who are interested in at least trying the concept but don't want or need a SGI iron.  I think they also missed the boat not offering it in the Forged Tec X this year and sticking with just the FT.  The X fits more players, IMO.  If they offered Forged Tec, Forged Tec X, LTD, and MIM all in one length, it gives the best opportunity for all players to try it out, and allows a player to blend the sets together if they want to and have the forgiveness where they need it.  After all, they are the same length, you are just dealing purely with loft at that point.
