2023 Ping bags

I wish Ping would release the Hoofer Lite in green again, one of the older models came in a really nice shade of green. Or the scattered Pingman logo.

Awesome, I saw it the other day and it was still "out of stock" but looks like it's live now. Wonder how long it will be for the US bags to be live and/or show up in stores.

Maybe it's just me, but I wish Ping would go back to the older days of solid, more muted color bags (or at least have a stable rotation of those). Navy, dark green, maroon, and etc...

 

Each year the colors and patterns seem to get bolder and brighter, and that's just not my style. If you can see my golf bag from space then it's too bright IMO 🤣

I called Ping customer service regarding the new colors that are expected.  They were fairly tight lipped on colors but sounded like they were frustrated with delays in rolling out the new bags, they hoped that they will be able to make the announcement in May or June at the latest.  Interestingly he did mention that if you went to the Canada Ping site it would give you an idea of some of the color possibilities that will be released in the US.  He could not confirm which ones would be offered.

I just might have to bite the bullet and get this one. Just have to accept that I'll have to downsize my water bottle for the small outside pocket, and get a second small bottle for the large garment pocket.

Why don't you just put your current large bottle in the large pocket?

I find it hard to reach around and pull it out while I'm walking. Like to have it handy in the water bottle pocket. Efficiency rules. Lol.

And, yes. I reckon the zip pocket and cart pass through are what replaced the vertical handle, which doesn’t make sense because the cart strap will go over the pocket and smoosh it. Unless Ping did some fabric origami and has the strap run underneath. 

All the bags have cart pass through on the side, but the Hoofer 14 has an added channel under the new handle pocket. The new Hoofer 14 has a small fabric handle for your hands, underneath that added pocket. Between that, the plastic divider handle and the ball pocket handle, that should be all you need to lift in/out or on/off anything. I'll take the extra pocket, which also zips off for customization.

How bad do the white zippers get on the current Hoofers? The look like dirt magnets. I am trying to decide if I should wait for the new ones or go with a current one on sale.

Probably not ideal, but I put my 40oz hydroflask in the apparel pocket and it works well.

The zippers don't get bad, the white material on the bag does get dirty though. Specifically where the cart strap goes definitely gets worn/dirty over time.

generally just cosmetic. The real tour bags are usually black and white with bigger Ping font so people can see it on camera.
