Probably 60 rounds in 2022. Member at a private club so I'm definitely not getting my money's worth. Nice to play a few of those rounds under 2 hours though.

For those showing a decline.  Please review and consider the following:

X axis = # years of marriage

Y axis = # of rounds played per year

A - commonly called the "first year of marriage dip" shows a sharp reduction in rounds played

B - many guys get to stage B after 4 years of marriage and life is good (compromise is made) life continues

C-  the other guys with signs of possible marital trouble reach year 4 and things take a different path, a sharp decline

C-D - the critical years, either a bounce back, "marriage recovery" or D = Divorce

E - Back to the single life, possible rekindling of a marriage or "special arrangements" are made

2022 was a rocket ship straight to E after my wife received an absolutely viscious bite from the golf bug. She insists on playing 18 every Sat/Sun, rain or shine. We've played when it was 34*, we've played when it was 100*+. We've played in the snow, we've played in the near dark. She insisted in October that we join a local club because "the math works out."

It's possible I died and went to heaven, but since I have shown only modest improvement even while playing so much, there's a chance I may actually be in the other place.

Last year was 1-2x a month if I was lucky. Friends didn't want to play a ton for various reasons and solo golf where I am can be annoying to book. This year I'm traveling for work more in more rural areas and looking at bulk of the courses I think only 1 was over $50 CAD for 18 but when I plan to play is probably under $30 CAD for twilight rate so I'm going to bring my clubs with me and play a lot more. Hoping for 50 rounds this year which would be about 4x more than last year.

Full 18 hole rounds? 1-2 a month.

9 holes? 2-3 times a week.

100 balls at the range? Also 2-3 times a week.

If I didnt have kids it would probably be more 😂

Today makes 9 for 2023 with a couple intense short game range sessions this past weekend.  It’d be more rounds but tweaked the lower back and took three days off.

I rarely play a full 18 hole round of golf..usually I sneak out in the afternoon for 2-3 hours and play as many holes as I can get in that window...which means 12-15 holes if the course is not crowded. I no longer have the patience for the long weekend morning 5 hour slog. I try to play once a week, but probably average 3 times a month during good weather.

I play 9 or 18 every week from April-October.  I work close to a golf course so during the week I'll chip and putt at their practice green often.  I practice and play 3-4 rounds per week on a sim during the winter.  My kids are in HS and drive so they're fairly independent.  My wife is a realtor and works a lot of weeknights and weekends when busy.  I play when I have an opportunity and they are more frequent lately.  Last year I had 25 full rounds on grass.

Winters are a bit miserable where I am so I play about twice a month at this time of year. Then twice a week spring, summer and autumn.

Averaging 20 rounds per month so far in 2023.  Life is good, but wearing a visor yesterday was a mistake.  Scorched my scalp up high.  🤣

I was playing 3-4 rounds of nine a week last year,I hope to maintain that pace. The wife is supposed to play more this year, so we will see.

I usually play around 80 rounds/yr, unless injuries get in the way. For me, that works out to about twice a week--I'm retired so I don't play in bad weather unless I'm in a tournament or on a golf trip. I do hit balls, chip or putt most days that I'm not playing. I would play more, but (for me) the games takes too long. Basically it eats up most of the day unless I can get out first thing.

I realize I am super lucky to have these opportunities. 😃
