when will Nike sign Charlie is my question. As he gets older and if he continues on the trajectory that he’s on, i can see his shoes as a “hype piece” for golfers - especially those getting into the game. 

 

Charlie taking over as a "TW" sponsored athlete would obviously be the ideal transition from Tiger but that's still years away, if ever, from happening. As much as we all want Charlie to be as good as his dad the reality is there will never be another guy like Tiger, or it's very unlikely. Doesn't matter if you're last name is Woods or not. It's doubtful anyone will ever show the level of dominance Tiger did in the late 90's, 2000's and 2010's. Nike would be better off getting someone current into the TW line as a sponsored athlete. Keeps the TW name alive (still the most popular name in golf by a WIDE margin) without needing Tiger to play week in and week out. Someone like a Min Woo Lee or Gordon Sargent come to mind, young up and coming bombers that should be contenders for years to come. Sargent also helps because he's American. Similar idea to how Jordan sponsors guys, although I don't foresee Nike ever spinning off TW into it's own brand. Golf just doesn't have the global reach that basketball does

FJ must have some heavy patents on the sole. Because nike hasn't come close with a competitive replacement.

I ended up getting the gray/blue pair after they went on sale!!! I couldn’t stomach the regular price. But it’s worth it…they’re the most comfortable golf shoe I own!

That is my favorite color way by far

 

I too, couldn’t stomach the price. I’d rather buy some next% on sale. To me they are much more comfortable. Or some Ecco. 
 

nothing cleans up better than the TW13 tho

I couldn’t agree more on the cleanup with the 13’s!!! I’ wanted a pair of NXT% but I couldn’t get a size to fit me right…tried mediums in 2 sizes and wides and standard and boas and just couldn’t make them work. But I’ve got some AZVT2’s that are awesome too so I’ll be rotating thru those for the foreseeable future.

Can anyone vouch for the boots? I had the Bandon previous iteration of this type of thing for many years but it eventually lost its waterproofing.

All I keep reading is he doesn't sell golf apparel anymore. Yet the white tw13s were gone first week of drop. Anything he wears or touches is gold. Free money for Nike.

Yea, it is rare to see TW apparel on the course. Can't remember the last time I saw someone with a TW polo. Shoes def sell. Specially these remakes. 

 

Nike if offering less and less TW it seems, that is just a guess/observation. Could be wrong.

Probably because they are more expensive vs. the standard Nike golf polos mainly because they have the TW logo on them. Plus, no too many golf stores actually carry them, you would be lucky to find a TW polo at dicks sporting goods but they have shelves loaded with Nike golf polos.

 

Resellers are buying up all the remakes of his 13 shoes in white.

I mainly only wear the tw polos. I do try to buy them when they are on sale but I just like them better than most of the normal Nike stuff

Nike is offering less golf in general. I have heard rumblings about Nike getting out of golf all together. Word on the street is that Taylormade is entering apparel and looking to take some of their staffers apparel contracts...
