Do the soles/blade length/topline seem meaningfully different on these new CBs from the predecessor, or does it just seem like weighting/tungsten changes (I may be wrong but thought I recalled you had gamed their 2019 CBs previously)? Any other changes/improvements stick out to you?

Looks like either a full set of Tours or a Tour/CB combo is going to be a mandatory purchase...

You are correct I did play those. Cobra has had the shape from address down for a while. I think they look great at address. I don’t see a ton of change there. I think it would take holding them side by side and really getting microscopic to see.

I think there is some sole difference, but again hard to say without holding them side by side. and I think it is more of a play from behind the face and weight distribution. I do not or did not see any tungsten plugs like you did on previous models. It could be there, but I honestly don’t know. I didn’t get any technical or design details.

Did you happen to check the sole out and able to comment on camber or beveled lead edge?

My thoughts mirror Quigleys on these. A hint of lead edge relief and great camber and curve side to side and front to back. They don’t look bouncy but look like they would go through the turf well without over digging. I thought they looked fantastic. Blade size was slightly larger than previous offerings in the CB and MB but it looked strong not gaudy in size.

Really curious to compare the Tour MiM irons against the new Tour version. Is there less forgiveness in the new tour version?

Have also seen the utilities and wedges. Both look incredibly good.

And for the putters, they'll be offering LA golf shafts this year.

This is going to be the year of the Cobra.

Ssssssssss...........

waiting to order wedges and have been looking for any info and cant find anything.....are they different/better then snake bites? is it chrome finish (they seem to do it every other year) and same options as previous or are there more options (bounce/grinds/etc.) and lastly price? still 149?.....thanks

Same grinds and bounces. Tour chrome and black finish. They're snakebites again but I kinda had a vokey vibe when I saw them. There will be a third model called the snakebite x that's kinda like the Cleveland cbx.

Don't know on the price.

Ever since F9 I always thought cobra made one of the hottest drivers. Fairway woods always have been solid. Game improvement irons have always been solid.

To me, they always just seemed to be behind compared to other companies in the more “player” kind of irons.

It now seems not only have they caught up, but possibly passed up some companies?

The tour heads feel very good and look very good. Not a good enough ball striker to play the cbs or mbs.

Callaway irons have always been clicky to me. I thought taylormade went backwards in the 770s and 790s.

Mizuno always makes good irons obviously. And titleist.

Do we have any more pics / specs on the new utility iron? All I have seen on here are the couple of teaser pictures which shows the sole of a 3 and 4 iron, as well as the back. Would love to see the topline view and here some details on the specs.

After looking at the Tour irons there I noticed it says there’s an aluminum badge on them.  Didn’t really notice that from the pictures at the start of this thread.  Not really a badge fan.  I’ll reserve judgment though.

I did not notice that either on first glance, have to see what they look like in hand. some "badge" work is better than others (LTDx). A very clean line of irons from Cobra though.

Those look nice especially those blades. I always have to get the old stuff though, can’t ever talk myself into spending the money or life happens when I do decide to…

Just bought a set of new Cobra King Pros CB/MB Black for $537 though.

Maybe I’ll be able to upgrade to these in 3yrs 😎

Probably one of the best deals I've seen for new irons in the last little while. They are extremely good irons.

I disagree with your impression of Cobra irons being "behind" compared to other companies. They're most definitely not the most desirable or most played which could lend a hand to their judgement but, I think Cobra makes (present tense) an iron as good and even better than the other big 4 of Mizuno, TM, Titleist, and Callaway. At least from a "Players" / Low Cap standpoint.

I assume we will see a stock set Gap wedge. They've done so with a lot of their releases but, you don't see them much on the 2nd hand market. I did see a nice 3 - Gap set of Cobra MBs maybe 2 years ago and was bummed I didn't buy them because they looked great.

Hit the new Cobra MBs today.  They took a step back on the looks department.  I miss the all black.  That being said, these are incredible performers.  Relative to MBs, I didnt get too severely punished on mishits.  The dispersion was great horizontally.  Feel-wise it just felt ok.  Middle of the road in terms of feel for an MB.  Not soft like a 221 but more along the lines of the firmer feel of the T100.

The positives far outweigh the negatives though.  I spent about 30 mins with the 7 iron demo and came away impressed.  Not sure what the tech is involved in the head but I’m sure there are tungsten plugs in the toe/heel. These are really playable clubs.
