Hit the tours and CB’s the other day. Tour on right, zx7 mk2’s on the left. 
 

Both feel incredible. I’m currently playing the og zx7’s and like them a lot, and new ones are just as good, maybe a touch softer even, which I like. LM hitting on are terrible, so nothing to note off, but very similar.

 

So it says a lot that both the cobra irons feel very similar and comparable says something. The Cobras are a bit sleeker w/ small top lines and bit more rounding in the toe. Main take away was the cobras do feel like they have a touch more pop to them be zx7’s. CB’s are closer as expected, but so good. 
 

1 step closer to put my order in.

I can't stop staring at the MBs. Might be the best looking MBs I've seen in awhile. Have a 3-pw MB set sitting in the cart right now. Depending on how drunk I get today I might be $1500 poorer.

FedEx killing me! Was supposed to arrive yesterday but just randomly got pushed to tomorrow. Went all Tours with the $ Taper 130 Left Handed. Total gear/club nut so I will be putting these along side T100/ZX7/P7MC(‘20).

Thanks for the pic, I too play the og zx7's, the Tours have my interest. My local PGA Superstore has fitting heads in, I need to go hit these>

Granted it is a different angle.  But your iron looks much more finished than the demo head.

Cobra has been the best at offset for as long as I can remember and these don't disappoint. As soon as I set the Tour and CB down, I loved what I saw. They inspire confidence and feel incredible. I can see the Tour's going in the bag this year.

 

Another plus with Cobra: matching GW. You can get one in the Tour, CB, AND MB.

What I found interesting was how the Tour line has a 48* GW.  Makes for an interesting setup with potential SW and LW loft choices.  Would have figured this line of club would set up for a 49* or 50* GW for a better spacing to a 54 or 56* SW.

i thought the same thing. It’s a pretty strong GW and PW for a set like that.

My MIM Tour gamers with Modus 120 X feel great and the new Tour with $Taper 130 feel even better. Have ZX7 MK2 with Modus 120 X arriving tomorrow for the 2023 death match.

Am I the only person that thinks the soles look really thick? Anyone have any more comparisons to competing irons such as the ZX7, T100, mizzy 223, etc? I’m mostly interested in the comparison of the soles but happy to look at the overall pics as well. 😁

 

all in all, these do look really good to my eye.

Got a call today that my fitter received my Cobra Tour Irons Order (5-GW). Going to be picking them up this Saturday morning!

 

 

On the question above about wide soles. I did not find them to be super wide or to negatively impact my swing. I am coming from the newer T100s and those are pretty thin. I also hit the ZX7 MKII and i preferred the look, feel, and performance of the new Cobra Tours.

all in all, these do look really good to my eye. 

I think the soles are too thick, but both the cb and tours felt really nice.

It seems like there are only demo 7 irons in most shops. Hopefully someone who already has them will post.

I was able to hit the tour and the CB (no monitor numbers unfortunately) and came away impressed by both. I’m leaning toward a Tour/CB combo but if the shorter Tour irons get a little smaller I would go with a full set of them.  
 

CB and Tour - soles seem identical to me but with the tours stretching the blade length a bit. 

 

CB vs prior CB - very similar shaping all around; the color differences might be playing some tricks on me but to my eye new one is slightly but noticeably bigger all around. Almost like they just expanded the same silhouette by ~5% to account for the lack of tungsten. 

tour vs 2021 P770: tour is slightly more fat-bottomed and longer with more camber

lastly a not so great topline pic, left to right: Tour, 770, CB, King Forged CB. Cobra just nailed the address look for both IMO.

Anyone have any idea on turnaround time on new orders?  I caved yesterday afternoon and got an order in for the CB.  Was told 2 weeks which isn't bad.  Obviously I irrationally want them sooner than that haha.

I ordered last Tuesday with upgraded shafts (DG 120 x100) and mine are arriving TODAY! Stoked on the quick turnaround for a custom order.
