I have been watching...I'm a bit sad that way.

Rory has a 20 yard miss to the right either into waste area (where he got his pitch in eagle) or what passes for rough. There are other venues on the DP World Tour where he wouldn't have had shots other than pitch out or oob.

I really don't like this venue and I can't stand the gushing Richard Kaufman.

It got mentioned over in the "OMG Rory is playing Vokey Wedges" thread that Rory might have changed wedge shafts during round 1 play.  i.e. played a set of shafts before play was suspended.  Came out the following morning to complete round 1, with different shafts.

 

Does suspension of play mid-round trigger a clause that allows for equipment changes during the same round?

As far as I know that's not allowed. Hopefully the shaft change was incorrect.

I know there's been a lot of debate about what style putter suits Rory best.  And he put on a clinic a number of years ago at the API with a Soto or Juno.  

But I think someone should take all his blade putters away from him and just leave him w/that Spider X.
