The FJ thing continues to baffle me. I don’t know how Nike hasn’t figured out a way to design him a shoe by now.

I agree. I don't think it is rocket science, so perhaps Nike isn't allocating resources to designing a new shoe for him?

Seems like nike has no reason to care. Why put in the effort to make a new ACTUAL golf shoe, when they can just re-release new colors of the same jordan shoe from 40 years ago. Sells out every time.

At this point, the guy is playing a half dozen events a year… and that’s being optimistic. It’s weird that he’s wearing FJ’s, but probably not enough of a problem to start an entire shoe line from scratch for Tiger. 
 

The TW’s were always a completely different product than the Classics/Icons/Premiers. An athletic, flexible, hybrid golf shoe vs. a traditional leather, heel supported, golf shoe with more stability. 
 

I’m guessing, but from a business standpoint, it’s probably not worth the time, effort, or expense to put him in a Nike product that’s comparable; and if they did, we’d all be complaining about them not offering the shoe to the public. 🤣

I just checked Ticketmaster (official tix seller for Genesis) and looks like GA tix are still being sold?

I can only go Saturday or Sunday and I’m not certain he’ll make the cut…

Yeah I planned on Thurs. to begin with to actually follow groups w/ smaller crowds, and sure enough when he announced last week he's in, I had mixed feelings... I can see El Tigre, but he's going to have a herd of people follow him lol.

Yeah perhaps. But he still moves the needle like no other golfer on the planet. Feels like Nike letting MJ go out on the court in Adidas in his Wizards days… Head scratcher. Oh well

Hard to get something designed when you run a company that hasn’t designed anything new since the 90s.    Don’t get me wrong. I own some Nike. But unless It’s running shoes. They’re not really on the cutting edge of whipping up performance.   They’re mostly fashion.

Wonder what his driver and woods lengths are now ?  They don’t look modern standard length to me. They look short.

It's interesting...it seems a lot of guys meaningfully set stealth to lower. I know it opens the face which helps with the left miss that a lot of better players try to avoid, while also likely reducing spin, but I wonder why instead of 9* heads lofted down to 7.5 or 7.0 and opening the face a couple of degrees, why not just have tour issue heads at 7-8* loft with 2* open? Is there something with the stealth head that can't get spin down? I actually really wanted to like Stealth Plus last year, tried it a couple of times with a bunch of shafts and even lofting down couldn't get spin in the low 2000s whereas I was able to with other drivers like TSi3. It was constantly in the high 2000s. The tour guys I'm seeing: 

 

Tigers Stealth (1) Plus 9* at 7.5*

Scheffler Stealth 2 Plus 8* at 6.5*

Rory Stealth (1) Plus 9* @ 7.5*

Rory Stealth 2 Plus 9* @ 7.5*

Fleetwood Stealth 1 Plus 9* @ 7.5*

One thing to keep in mind is we don't know the measured lofts of those heads. So it's hard to make any real judgment. Spin might be too low in the 8°. There was a good article about a weight tweak Scheffler did to cut some spin on his driver prior to winning last week.
