He’s bitter because his trash son (grandson?) snuck advertising into a photo during the ceremonial tee shot with Lee Elder I think. He blatantly held a sleeve of balls out during the photo. It was a typical trashy Player family move.

Love me some Rory.  Always liked him and, now, even more for standing up against the LIV and it's defectors.  Morikawa will never putt well enough at Augusta to win the jacket IMO

If I were Fred Ridley I would make a call to GP and tell him he should change his plans for Thursday morning (and Tuesday evening for all that matters).   His own son has called him " demented".   It's time for Gentle Ben to take his rightful place next to Jack and Tom.

Gratefulness and appreciation should be something people should have when something has been so good to them.  Just saying and that's all I have to say about that.  I'll stay out of the GP fray. 

 

On another note, I would LOVE to see Gentle Ben become an honorary starter.

Has anyone else noticed that the last couple years Augusta’s greens seem firmer a little and brown in some spots? In 2021 when Hideki won they were almost unrecognizable but during the ANWA they were perfect

Loving the DC&P this morning!  I would have always wanted the Masters first, Open Championship second and wouldn't have cared if I ever won another major (easy to say, haha) but for all that goes on starting with the ANWA final round, overall this is the best week plus extravaganza in the game of golf.

LMAO I love the API and Bay Hill is on my bucket list. I've played Orange County National and it's a decent muni 🤣, not worthy of a Pro golf tournament. But I guess it works for a 3-day shotgun exhibition

I'm guessing that excludes the one grandson that he's suing for selling some of his old golf memorabilia after he told him not to.

For sure and Gary is the one who should be sadly looked upon. I suspect he’ll get a chilly reception this year after these outbursts. He should just keep his mouth shut. I won’t be surprised if he’s retired from the honorary start. Would love to see Crenshaw take over, he’s more deserving.

Why in the everliving hell should ANGC allow Player to bring his grandkids to play rounds there when he himself isn’t a member of the club? Maybe he could get on given what he has done for the history of the tournament, but some hack family members too? GTFO here dude. Go play Augusta Municipal with Wayne.

Totally agree. To me, this is exactly what makes the Masters so special; it doesn't matter who you are, rules are rules and must be respected by all.

 

Nick Faldo, another 3 time winner, mentioned that he has to ask a member to accompany him if he wants to play Augusta.

I wish Seve was still around, it would’ve been awesome seeing him as an honorary starter. He was the first European to win the Masters and probably the most influential golfers from Europe.
