I was thinking the exact same thing. He gets a little confidence in his putting he wins by 5

Way upright Mezz armlock and he never loses. Tall guy.  Stands close to the ball  anyway.  His reads would get better if he took the variables out of his strike and stroke.  But hey.  🤷

Agree there. Spider doesn’t do anything for anyone. Rory , DJ , never any better with spider.     I oscillate between agreeing on the blade and seeing the real tech the lie angle balancing provides.

I wonder if those weights had Loctite on them. If you have ever changed weights in a Scotty it can be a bit of work until you break that seal. Could see a headline - "Scheffler has to withdraw from U.S. Open after straining his wrist changing weights in his putter" 🙂

Nah. He never putted Better or worse with it.  Mediocre either way.  And on weeks whne he doesn’t 3 putt. He wins.  He wins with other clubs.

I just wish that I was a good enough golfer to dogmatically declare to a PGA pro who has won multiple tour events, including the Masters, which putter is going to make him actually GREAT! Alas, I'm not.

 

I am a dad, though. Maybe I should start with telling him how many kids he should have.

Scottie has one of the most relaxed looking strokes on tour my guy.

 

Don't think he has any issues on that front.

Agreed- one of my favorite players- if the putting was slightly better he’d have more than 1 Major- just want him to catch some heat with the flat stick

Once he gets the putter sorted, he may go in a roll!  His tee to green game is unreal.  Putts like s*** and is still contending.  His misses on short putts are hard to watch.  And that’s been prevalent as of late.

Finding the right weight, toe hang and swing weight makes all the difference in putter swing.  Heavy is good.  Once he finds the right weight for the greens he plays, he will be noticed.

I like a heavy putter, regardless of the greens. Find something you like and stick to it!
