New Graphite Design VF shafts - 2023 3M Open

GolfWRX_Spotted

Recommended Posts

Just got word from my builder, Will Peoples:

"They will likely get us some info on it in the next few weeks and once I see I will relay to you.

Then on the release it will likely be November, thats usually when they release them.

They look great though, excited for this one."

I definitely will get this shaft, please let it be a true low low like @phizzy30 said. Hopefully it's not some kind of "updated" XC or something already in the lineup

October release date on the VF is what I've been told earlier today.

Gosh this looks sexy. I have slept on GD too long. Put an XC in my 3 wood this week and love it. Hoping this is a similar profile with a tiny bit stiffer handle then XC. The red, black and white have my attention.

I hate the small graphic at the bottom of the shaft.  Fine if you never ever change your hosel settings, but annoying if you do.

More of a problem with your clubhead maker of choice. Tons of shafts out there with arguably busy graphics and etc.

IMO companies who do not use independently adjustable adapters that dont change the shaft orientation like Callaway and Titleist are behind the curve in that tech aspect.

Not too dissimilar from the Velocore logo or Hexcel Hextow logos on other brand parts. I actually really appreciate how well they indicate tipping amount / severity.

fwiw some older paint style TOUR AD parts like GP don’t have that logo.

Ah yes most of the older styles were that way. Or if present the Tour AD tip logo was much less loud. I still am partial to the old paint style for nostalgia alone!

I think GP and BB are the only currently sold parts without the refresh (which typically includes that new tip logo). A DI 9X I most recently purchased has the new logo scheme.

I've asekd TXG guys on their Monday Live and they said this plays between Ventus Blue and Black.

I am guessing it would be similar to Ventus Blue TR.

If that is the case this will be right up my alley!

Sounds like it could be an updated XC then.  I was really hoping for something truly low/low.  I'll probably end up getting one just to test.

Sounds more like an AD-TP kind of deal, which on paper is more in the same family as the TR Blue than any other GD shaft. Blueboard on steroids vibe.

Obviously, we'll see but my guy who I get shafts from says that the VF will be the lowest launching and spinning modern GD shaft out of all their recent lineup.  I'm really hoping for something similar to a Ventus TR Black which is what I have in my bag.

I certainly wouldn’t mind it, especially since one would look great in my Stealth 3w

Just got word right now from my fitter/builder that the VF will be low launch and spin.  Release date is still pending.  I'm thinking it's the updated M9003.

I could only wish this would be the case.  I have a million different aftermarket shafts and have never found anything I’ve liked more than the M9003.  Unfortunately, I busted the two I had after endless tinkering with them (was only a matter of time).  I’d replace if they weren’t so expensive - need to watch for used ones on Ebay.

Titleist adapters still move the shaft around in different orientation. They only have one cog instead of two like Callaway and you have to move the shaft if you want a different number

Wow, looks like it might actually be something other than yet another variation on the soft mid formula.

VF maybe something similar to the TR Black profile.  Stiff tip and handle with a slight drop off in stiffness in the mid section.  With the signature smooth feel of course.  Fingers crossed!!!
