Wilson 2024 new staff blade/cb, dynapower forged, staff wedges, staff balls

New irons look great. I am interested to know more about the new Staff Model balls. Triad is a really good ball and I also liked the current Staff Model. I will definitely be trying the new balls when they come out.

find places in my area that have full demos of Wilson products, especially the irons.

The Wilson ball lab folks took the current staff ball at 96 compression and bumped it up a few more points to make the Staff X, and then built a softer version that feels very similar to the triad…my guess would be around 87 (same as TP5 and a few others) for the new Staff model. I was able to test the new TP5 prototype a couple of months ago and the very similar performance from the softer Staff model. Both balls will be four piece/urethane cover construction.

Look for a Worldwide Golf Shop (Edwin Watts/Roger Dunn/Golf Warehouse, etc) near your area or PGA Superstore. If you know what shafts work for you most will matchup with a Wilson iron head. The loft & lie can be tweaked to suit your desired flight…but the ball you play can be a major factor as well.

Golf Galaxy is the major golf retailer in my area.  They can special order through Wilson but they don’t carry a lot of Wilson clubs in store unfortunately.

Really, really like the look of the Dynapower Forged irons just in terms of shape and bag appeal based on these pictures. I was impressed with the D9 Forged when Wilson did a demo day near me — they fitted me into them with S300s. I can’t imagine these are a step back in terms of performance, so I could definitely see buying a set of these.

Really good looking irons and wedges, and I think that is a solid stock shaft offering. I’m in the camp that the badge without the WS looks unfinished though.

I currently play kbs $-taper 110 in the D9 Forged and cannot wait to get a set of the new Dynapower Forged with the same shaft…very sexy offerings coming down the pipe from Wilson. The new Wilson script on the staff model balls is a result of discussions with the tour staff. Wilson has the largest professional sports player advisory team in the industry and the tour staff wanted their equipment to basically say team Wilson…which to me indicates there may be some cross marketing somewhere down the road. 2024 is gonna be a very good year. 

Logo does look unfinished but think all in all some good looking clubs - well done Wilson. The blade and cavity look clean and possible to blend with. Love the more square toe in the shaping, very appealing

I’m on my second set of D9 Forged now, the first had recoil dart 75…which was great & helped with the wear & tear I have in my left hand (two breaks, partially dislocated thumb). I have been drooling over the kbs $-taper 110 for several years now and when I saw they were available for custom build earlier this year I got a set in 5-GW. Wow…unbelievable feel and shot making! In the past two months I have shot three of my best rounds ever and am hitting iron shots like I did before Mother Nature took my man card. Growing old when you can still play (your brain knows what to do but your body doesn’t always cooperate) is a stone cold b****…

Wilson irons are always so stunning but here in the UK it's a miracle to find somewhere that fits them let alone has them in store.

I love the look of the new irons/wedges and the thought process on the balls. I hope their is a story as to why the shield is blank. I understand thats how its going to be but why after decades of the W/S being inside the shield.

My staff models perform almost exactly the same as my set of Edel SMS pro. The Edel have a little more fade via due to the weights.

Glad they have 2 different balls now instead of the Raw before which was just bad. 

 

Now curious how they both perform and the differences since I think it's a very underrated ball.

NOW, Wilson....If you're reading this. Awesome job. But, please let's not mess this up with marketing that demeans the effort that has gone in to creating these clubs and balls. Most folks get one chance to get it right. You've had several. Act like its your last one. Could be...

Try American Golf and Clubhouse Golf, not sure of locations but I was in several great golf stores while stationed at Mildenhall from 2011-15, played some fantastic golf…especially the heathlands!

Try American Golf and Clubhouse Golf, not sure of locations but I was in several great golf stores while stationed at Mildenhall from 2011-15, played some fantastic golf…especially the heathlands!
