gotta say I really really like how these look. I already ordered a Qi10 but ill definitely give these a try

 

I believe PXG makes the best hybrids out there but the woods for me have always been disappointing

I agree. They always look really good but then are very meh in performance. 

 

The face on shaping of the drivers says CoG could be really low on these. But pxg has always been lackluster on ballspeed, for me.

I stand corrected.  He apparently is tinkering with the woods.  PXG irons still in the bag but mentions out of contract with PXG.

Personally not a fan of that thick topline/crown design. It looks cheap to me. Like a driver that would come in a starter set. To me, buying a PXG driver is like buying a Suzuki car. Why buy the Suzuki when there's Hondas, Toyotas, etc. Just stick with Taylormade, Callaway, Titleist or Cobra when it comes to drivers.

He had an incredible first set but the second was pretty similar to all other drivers I’ve seen Ian hit.

Well to each their own. I have tried all of those ( except Cobra ) at several demo days and again at Impact Precision. Which BTW is one of the top 25 fitters is the US. 

 

The Taylormade Qi10 was by far the worse. The Callaway Ai Smoke was a close second followed by the Titelist TSR3.

 

NONE of them were better for me than PXG

 

So you can keep your Honda and Toyota and I'll keep my Suzuki!!

You need to find a Darkspeed LS to hit, longer than the Aerojet LS from last year and so far I can't get the T-1 to beat it. But I will keep trying to find the right shaft match for the T-1.

When I went to Impact Precision I wanted specifically to hit the TSR3 and the Darkspeed. But the fitter told me they didn't carry the Cobra because they were not very forgiving. Also for whatever reason my club has had every OEM out there for demo days except Cobra.

 

I got an email from my club last week and again they have a multiple demo days scheduled through the end of March and no Cobra.

 

Nobody I even play with hits Cobra. But believe me I still want to try one. Might be my new Unicorn, just have to find it.

I think Cobra drivers are some of the longest/best when hit well.  However I don't think they are most forgiving.  I have been gaming the AeroJet LS.  The PXG Black Ops was better with question on mishits.  Debating whether to go Black Ops or Gen 6 which is a little cheaper.  Likely moving on from the AeroJet.

For any of the non believers of Black Ops out there why dont you go take the PXG Driver Challenge that’s going on right now.  If Black Ops doesn’t beat your gamer you walk away with $100.    Seems like a no brainer to me.  I’ve never had a spin rate of 1600 with a driver before….Just sayin’..When our fairways dry and firm up see ya!

The Houston area Cobra rep left last year and not sure if they have a new one working the Territory. Surprising Impact Precision said Cobra's aren't forgiving, hopefully it wasn't Trevor, they're just as forgiving as all the other OEMs. I'm willing to bet it's because there's no rep currently working the territory and visiting them with a new products. But of course the BOP is going to be more forgiving than any OEM's LS line. PXG has done really well with their two driver offerings this year and anyone can find their perfect match with one of their two drivers If they're patient and willing to put in the effort IMO.

1600 spin is what I actively avoid
