Had to take off some of the plate off the back of his 4i to make swingweight. Extrapolating the wishon chart he has to be playing ~3" above standard.

A lot of these "celebrity" golfers list handicaps that are not even close.  You watch them try and hit a ball on TV and your like, oh yeah ok...right.  More like 20 handicap.

if you played as much golf as those guys you'd be surprised how sharp your scoring can get even with an ugly swing

I had the pleasure of playing with Pau last fall. Awesome person. He had to get a waiver from the USGA for the length of his clubs due to a back injury he suffered during his playing career. His 7 iron was almost the length of my 5 wood.

Loved Pau Gasol as a player, and very cool that he’s a Golfer now!

 

I actually think his swing looks really good, for everyone bashing him.

 

I’m 6’7 and a former Basketball player also, so I know how difficult it is to learn the game of Golf as a Big Man, and also to get properly fitting equipment.

 

But I agree that he should get new Woods, those were obviously the ones he was using as he was learning the game.
