He's always had the 56/60 wedge set up, but that P7TW PW is 47* seems like that 9* jump would really create some kind of gapping issue..  but who am I to question the best to ever do it?  maybe i need a large gap in my wedges too 🤔

Yeah interesting to see if it sticks or not. He's also bumped the SIM down in loft, assumedly since gaining more speed in his recovery. I think it used to hover one or two clicks lower on the upright side, now full "lower" setting. I wonder what the actual loft of the head is though.

I'm reminded of when he went back to his SQ2 5-wood back in like 2012. That thing was 5-years old at the time, but that M3 turned 6 this year so we have a new goat. 😅

His PW is actually something like 49/50* and his 56* I believe is often a touch stronger.

Yes.  His clubs are actually 1-2 degrees weaker than the stock p7tw specs.

 

Tiger plays his 3-pw iron lofts at what most modern players play their 4- GW set.  Not really any different but the number stamped on bottom of club.

I'm reminded of when he went back to his SQ2 5-wood back in like 2012. That thing was 5-years old at the time, but that M3 turned 6 this year so we have a new goat. 😅

That SQ was great. I had one and loved it and yeah you beat me to the loft on his wedge. I think his pw is 50° and his 56° is 55°.

His lofts are at minimum 2* weaker. He isn’t using a 47* PW. I remember it being 49* but he said before he used 50* - 51* but all information points to it being 49*. Many spec build pictures

I was surprised at how upright the tour issue SQ2s were. I had one of long hosel tour issued ones meant for bending it basically sat exactly like what I imagine his M3 sits like in that very upright adaptor setting.

Specs I've seen is that his PW is 49.5 and the 56 is a 58 bent down to 56

Now that the wedges are milled I'm guessing they're replicating the old bent look

It's going to be hard to tell the actual driver loft he's using. The starting loft could be 10.9 or it could be 9.9, so who knows.

Can someone more familiar with TM adapters tell me what he has the 3 and 5 woods at -- is it 13.5 and 18?

And the loft sleeve is likely a 1.5* as is more commonly used on tour. Could be anything from a 1* to a 2* though.

No way to know for sure unfortunately. The actual loft of the heads could be in a number of different ranges.

Man, you’re hitting me in my feels. The long hosel one was so money. The one I had sat so perfect and well you know how that works. 🤣 that was probably my all time favorite 3 wood until I had the covert fairway like Tiger had with the Diamana 103. Shaft broke on that one and that started my 3 wood spiral in the rabbit hole until I was fit into the tsi2.

The point is that he was in a 9* in FL and now 10.5* both turned down.

Why 10.5*...CA is WET!!

He was using the 10.5 at the PNC too.

Yes, he was using the Stealth 2+ @ 9*....but did change to the Qi10 at the 2023 PNC.

PW is 49, 56 is 56. Back when he was with Titleist he liked the shape of the shape of the 58 head more than the 56, so they bent one for him. I think the 54/56 heads used the same head shape, and then 58/60 were another shape. I don't think he does anything like that anymore.

Qi10 LS is super low spin and he probably wants extra carry.  Hell, I was debating either Qi10 LS and AI smoke TD and opted for the latter.  If I did go with the Qi10 LS which I've tested,  I would go 10.5 as well at the recommendation of the one of the guys that works at TM that I played a round with last month.  9* was too low spin for me and borderline too low launch as well.  I live in LA and it's been really wet down here recently.  It's supposedly El Nino year which would explain the unusual amount of rain this month.
