Yes, they are tools however, I like taking care of my clubs.  I have covers on all my clubs even irons.  Tiger doesn't pay for his clubs but the rest of us mere mortals do which is more reason to take care of mine.

It's the OCD in me more than anything else.  Plus having to shell out 1500 plus on a new set of irons isn't exactly wallet friendly.

TW confirms the new 3 metal is in the bag this week.  He stated it’s a lot easier to turn over versus his current one.

Surprised to see Tiger in the Bridgestone B X (2024). I thought he played the higher spinning, XS model, in the previous versions of the Bridgestone Tour B line.

I am just baffled he doesn't play a TM ball. I would love to see the numbers (not financial) behind why he chose the Bridgestone.

They were essentially producing his Nike ball before. Whatever recipe they have, he apparently likes.

Bryson believes that Bridgestone is the most advanced tech wise for balls which is why he plays them.  Maybe Tiger thinks the same.  He played the B XS for years then switched to the B X at the end of last year.  It looks like he still prefers hitting a high spinny cut with driver though when I watched coverage yesterday.  Not much rollout.  Finding fairways is a must at Riviera though so it makes sense.  Still 175 ball speed which is pretty good for an old man with a myriad of injuries.

He did but he just liked the extra pop the BX gives him off the driver. Said it still hits the windows he wants to see and spins the same amount he likes to see around the greens.

Really curious about the lack of “milled grind” on some but not all of his irons.
 

this plus the artisan serials on the wedges is adding to the “who makes tigers clubs” mythos.

I'd reckon its just a comfort/familiarity thing. With Bridgestone making his Nike ball since the beginning he likely he has a very tight relationship a few folks over there....just like his Artisan made wedges.

Now wouldn't that be something?  The "elder wand" is really Pro Platinum all along and it's why Tiger cannot find another because of the way it "sounds and feels" straight out of his mouth....  

 

While Cameron's $10k putters he flips every week is based off this nonsense. 

 

Go and look up the video of Tiger showing off his indoor putting green from 4-5yrs ago with a hottie.  

 

He literally has 40+ of the Elder Wands, all NEW GASS builds against the wall because Cameron is sending him new ones every week PRAYING Tiger changes...  Begging Tiger to change.

GSS is not a material grade , it’s most likely 303 SS ,  GSS is ONLY a trademark for acushnet and used mark up other wise plain old 303 stainless steel to unsuspecting collectors , there is no patent or special grade

Bryson now uses a ProV1x Left Dash after Bridgestone dropped him for going to LIV. Bryson has stated in his videos that the Left Dash is the best ball he's played. 

 

Tiger switched to the B X for more distance and speed post car accident as you stated above.

Except Cameron has been quoted that he does buy GSS in blocks from a source in Germany that he pays top $$ for. 
 

He got GSS from a particular type of stainless steel and he has explained and detailed this. 
 

But again Tigers putter was made 7-8yrs before Cameron ever used GSS in his line up (x3’s). 
 

Cameron is also on video saying he needed to fill in the 2x 1gram holes with paint “because they will rust”. 
 

Tiger has stated many times that his original Camerons have a particular sound and feel that he cannot go away from. 
 

It is my belief Tigers wand is really Pro Platinum and its all been a marketing scheme to sell Cameron putters. 
 

We need Gregr to test if a magnet sticks to Tigers wand.
