Seriously. This does not look like the bag of a guy who's won $7M on tour...until you see the wear marks on the hybrids.

IMO not that weird, PX 6.0 is known to play stout and there are a few of the younger guys who play it. Tom Kim, Corey Conners IIRC

 

What's bizarro is the Ventus Blue 6S in the driver then TX in the fairways. Especially with his tempo and transition.

I remember watching 2 gloves on The Big Break like 25 years ago haha. Good for him for still chasing the dream so to speak. Also this is a very old man bag minus the TX 3 wood shaft.

The irons are what blows me away.  Full set of GI irons for a Tour Pro is just crazy to me; only because I don't think I've seen it before.  Testament to what works for you is key.

That’s crazy! I’ve been back here now 3x just blown away.

Talk about a quiet $7m over the course of a couple decades.

Not to mention any mini events he may have won and sponsorships.

Ive had these irons but didn’t even try them and instead swapped them when I should have given them a go.

Back when Kenny Perry was tearing the tour up, probably 2008 or 2009, he used a retail set of R7 irons (non TP) that had plenty of offset and I’d classify as full GI irons.  Of course this was when he was using that Ping CrazE putter that he seemingly made everything with before the head fell off.

 

Gainey attempted to Monday qualify at my home course this week and WD when he found out he moved up to first alternate.  I was working the tee on a drivable par 4 and as he and his caddie came off the previous hole and up to the tee, they were both cordial and talkative.  Seemed like a legitimately good dude.  He laid up with a 5 iron, one of three guys who laid up that day.  Not sure that he’s in the field but he must have headed out to Deere Run immediately after leaving the Monday Q course.
