That really ticks me off that they always don't know anything. The guy was looking at me like I was crazy and knew nothing cuz I said there shouldn't be an up charge. And last time I was there I was talking to someone about the project X 95 shaft and the guy kept saying it was the same shaft as a regular PX. C'mon man!

I got the performance head with KK silver 60stiff tipped 1" playing at 45". Can't wait to get it.

Also, I'll echo everyone else in that the silver has no upcharge which is why I pulled the trigger on this driver. Good move Nike!

When I was taking the challenge the rep asked if I wanted to try it with the 7M3, I said, no thanks, I think that's a little much for my swing. He said, really? Why? This is after he had watched me for about 20 min. I explained what I thought of the shaft and it's properties., etc. He said, oh, I should try that. He then held up the VTS Black 6S, pointed at the graphics and I said, I'll try that, he said, what does this 6S mean? Really ?? How do these people get these jobs?? This drives me insane.

I bought a 913h last night and asked when they would have the hd, the store manager said he didn't know they were even coming out with one...

I had Continental Golf stop my refinishing until I'm comfortable there no issues with the head. I was having it refinished matte black.

Once I play 10 or more rounds without issue, I'm having it refinished. Have to say I'm enamored with the Callaway grey, so that's an option as well.

What is the turnaround for continental? My covert will be here Friday and callaway grey with a black swoosh to match my xhot sounds pretty sweet.

I hit both - the silver was 200 RPMs less spin and lower flight.

GG lost my purchase as well, wanted to upcharge for the silver shaft.

I just recieved the Arthur Extreme (AXE) Tour SL shaft - should make for a low spin high launch bomber, or whatever launch I want, depending on the wind. I like the new graphics on the AXE shaft.

This has been mentioned, but if you bring it up, you'll be accused of being either impatient, or a hater, or don't know what you're talking about. Instead of recognizing that there might actually be an issue with the adapter.

I just picked up the replacement for my cracked cavity and I'm going to guess they designed the adapter not to fit into place without cranking it down. Unlike other OEMs where you fit it into place by hand and simply tighten, I think the Nike one requires you to crank it down into place. It's weird, but I guess it's not defective unless you use it a lot like at a demo (my GG couldnt' get 2-3 of the settings into place.

I have tour w/ ahina70x.

I just getting out of my winter hibernation, so I really couldn't swing much, but it is def. low launching w/ less spin for sure. I now have set it for 9.5 open.

I had 910D3 8.5 A1 setting w/ AD DI7x and I was launching the ball way too high. Now, it is low/mid launch and it is much much better, and I get rolls after ball hits the ground now.

BTW, no issue w/ anyting falling apart.

Seeing your pic is making the wait that much harder. My Covert Tour was suppose to ship from Nike last Friday and now it's suppose to ship today. Fingers crossed! I still can't believe the numbers I was getting with the Covert tour... I thought this was a gimmick not a gamer!

I went from a D3 to the Tour. Had the covert tour setup properly yesterday- Kiyoshi Black shaft for both

My rough numbers with the D3 were;
@A1-9.5*N
~3500rpm spin
~12* launch
~165mph ballspeed
~270ish carry (yards)

Covert Tour rough numbers at the start were;
@9.5*N
~2600rpm
~9* launch
~167mph ballspeed
~270ish carry.

Covert Tour by the end of the fitting;
@11.5*R
~2600rpm
~14.5* launch
~169mph ballspeed
~290ish carry.

Of course the "reject shot" option was handy, wish we could use that out on the course.

Got to hit my new bad boy in the simulator last night for the first time (still in the 20s in Iowa) and I am beyond impressed. This thing was an absolute beast. It wasn't a surprise since I was fitted for this setup but still good to see my new club performing like it did in my fitting.

 

I also let the guys on my golf team hit it and all of them were 10-20 yards longer with the Covert than their current gamers. BOOM!

 

Covert Performance Head set to 8.5*

Oban Devotion 7 in 03 (Regular) Flex

44" Long.

Soon to have Iomic Sticky grip.

Someone else on the forums did this and they added hotmelt to the head and it came out perfect from what he was saying. If you search the Covert threads you will find it eventually.

Someone said that Nike measures the driver length different. Is this true? Is 45.5" for Nike different from 45.5" from other brands?

Thanks for all the info guys, I've been wanting to pull the triggers for weeks and I think I'm finally going to do so. Switching from a Classic 310 I'm finding a considerable drop in spin, especially side spin, and the club looks great at address.

Great question, I would like to know how they measure their clubs as well.

Length is measured to the grip shoulder, at the lie specified on the Nike web site, for the club being measured. Not sure what the length mfg tolerance is; probably 0.0625 to 0.125 inch.

I ordered mine at 44.5" and that's what it came to when it arrived. However I did stipulate "play to..." that length.

I have tried that and do not consistently have success. Agree it is more difficult to adjust than other adjustable. Don't hate Nike at all. In fact shelled out 399 for the club. I just wish I could make it work!
