I was skeptical that this shaft could live up to the hype...but it does. It's an incredible shaft. The performance head isn't too shabby either.

Sort of . . . painted mine yesterday, looks mean, like darth vader's driver, only one swoosh left. I like it, did the bottom recess in a matt black urethane and the crown is a very dark blue, just to mix it up. I'll post some pics in a little while.

Hot! This is almost the exact setup I am planning to buy, only difference being that I think I'm going to get the 6.3TS (heard that the butt-end is a tad softer = smoother feel).

What driver/shaft setup were you in before the Covert Tour?

I hit it about the same as my VR Pro Limited driver.

VR Pro LE - Motore F3 70X
VR_S Covert Tour - RIP B 70X

I will say that the Covert Tour is indeed lower spinning.

Definitely. I was finding roughly 3-4 degrees less launch with my tour. Hence its set at 11.5* now.

Yes, better (lower) ball flight on 9.5 than my RBZ Tour on 7.5!

Ugh, well I seem to have a bit of a bulge on the crown right where it says Covert. Not 100% sure why, haven't hit any up there. Anyway, brought it into Dicks today & they took a look and said that it shouldn't affect performance at all so I can keep playing it through my Florida trip next week & then if I want when I get back I can get a new one. It truly doesn't seem to be affecting the club at all, I couldn't see, feel or hear a difference in any shots. Doesn't seem to be a huge deal & I'm not overly concerned, just figured I'd share in case anyone else had this happen.

That sucks to hear. I'd definitely return it for a new one if I were you, after your trip of course.

Yea that's what I'm thinking I'll do. It's almost unnoticeable unless you catch it at the right angle, but I just know it's 1 of those things that'll bother me.

mt friend just got a covert 3 wood and i hit several balls with it and really liked it. i dont carry a fw wood bc i have a hard time hitting them but this club was great.

I received my tour with kiyoshi purple today. Can't decide if the purple, gold, and red looks like Mardi Gras, or clownish..haha.

By the way, ordered 1 inch short at D3, and it was spot on. I think the Nike custom department needs to get some well deserved love...

I finally hit one outside today, does anyone notice the sound being a bit strange? It was unlike any driver I have hit sound wise, very straight though.

Sick set-up. I just got my adapter today and will be putting it on my AD DI-6 soon. Can't wait to hit it with this set-up, although I really didn't mind the stock shaft other than it being a little light.

I find the sound a lot more muted than the current crop of competitor drivers.

Hitting one back to back with an RBZ the difference is night and day.

It's a muted "thwack" and yes it does sound different. It's not ridiculously loud and not tinny at all. So many of the new drivers sound terrible, super loud. I bring ear plugs or my Ipod to the range now, some of those drivers gotta be pushing >100dB. I like the Covert though, it's relatively quiet.

For those that have re-shafted with the adapter - did you have to tip the new shaft at all for the adapter or did you just prep the tip and install? Have a new shaft coming in for my Tour and just want to make sure I get it right the first time. Thanks everybody!
