Thanks! I was thinking a lot about the 3 Deep today.. I wish it was based off the RFE model with the adjustable hosel and composite construction. I really don't like the feel of the XHP line very much. The FW's are better than the driver, but the driver was really not my cup of tea in the feel dept.

I am going to shaft up a RAZR Fit Xtreme 3 wood the same way I have a X Hot 3 wood to see the difference. I am going GD Tour AD DI8 in stiff. Going back to heavy 3 wood shaft as I did for years. Feels so good.

Keep us posted. Di8 should be fantastic. Honestly, I cant fathom a 3w being much longer than the rfe 3w, but then again Im a high spin guy, so the rfe may just fit me perfectly. Regardless, the last time I hit the Xhot pro, my swing was in mid winter form, so i may be more impressed with it now.

With the Xhot 3 deep out, I'm thinking 13* 3 deep, and a 4w... So many possibilties...

The RFE's sound like winners. Personally, I know I would have issues with a shallow face off the tee due to a couple of shots that I like to hit require a very downward AoA. Have you had any instances where hitting it too high on the face and getting that high launch/low spin but no ball speed type shot? If it performs like the XHP/RBZ and is as playable as the 913 I can't see any other reason that this thing wouldn't go in the bag (which is why I asked about the face height thing). Not to mention, both the driver and FW look awesome!

The only time I hit the RFE was in 10.5* and it wasn't a good experience but based on this I'm going to give at least it a fair shake down and find an 8.5*. I'm looking for the same exact thing as you in the driver as far as performance, low spin and shallow AoD, especially on mishits. Low spin and flat flight can make up for the lost ball speed on mishits. Sounds like the RFE delivers on both counts.

I'm really tempted to give that X hot Deep a try but don't know how practical it would be. That's kind of my word for this year "practical" as opposed to just random ho'ing.

@ JJK947 - The shallower face isn't too much of an issue off of the tee at all, when I say shallower, were talking a pretty small difference in face height. The RFE is similar to the VR LTD 3 wood that I have been using all of last year, so it was an easy transition for me. I did have to tee it up just a touch lower than the 913FD/RBZ2 just to make sure I'm not catching it too high. I have hit the shot you refer to one time on an absolutely horrible swing, but it's definitely not typical (both the swing on my part, and the club). The only reason I'm still on the fence, is that I am trying to figure out if and how much more forgiving the 913 might be.

I definitely think the RFE would be worth reconsidering, but make sure you set it up how you would play it to really give it a fair shake, especially if you like the looks of it. I thought hard about that new XH3D coming out because it's a pretty cool idea, I just don't need my 3 wood to go much farther than any of these already do. I also prefer the way the RFE's look/feel/sound compared to the XHP line, and still want to be able to hit it off the deck when I need to.

I have been using the Speeder Tour Spec's in them, not the greatest feeling shaft I have used, but sure knocks the flight and spin down a lot for me. I have a Kiyoshi White coming that I might mess around with.

Thnx for the quick response. I purchased the RF woods last season both with the Graphite Design
Tour AD DI 7X shafts and have been impressed with the performance. i got rid of the RF 3 wood only because the sole was so flat i i couldnt get consistent results with it. I like the RFE with that shaft but I have been wanting to try the RFE driver but not sure that shaft will yield me the best results. I wanted to try the Grafalloy Bimatrix and a few others but I sense that there were a few shafts you tried that stood out among the rest.

you will like the feel of the KIYOSHI WHITE - very smooth in relation to the .2ts... this is not a direct comparison in feel - but it will be more similar to the DI. you may benefit from tipping the KW. expect a different ball flight than from the .2TS

if you are talking kiyoshi white 75G in a fairway..I bet it would be just fine..rather stout in the X to me...hitting it great in the RFE right now..but I could see it in a fairway no issues.

The OKW 75 X weighs 81gr so it oughtta be grand in a fairway. I'd also hit it before tipping because it plays really healthy.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I've got a 65g coming for the driver that weighs 72g in the 05 flex. Didn't realize how heavy these shafts were compared to what they are stamped with. Should be interesting to see how they stack up against the Fuji's.

I think you will like the Kiyoshi white. Every bit as stable as the Fuji TS, you might launch them a bit higher w/ a bit more spin though. That's the only thing I think you will not like about them. They are stout like your Fuji's though. Very accurate shafts ( Kiyoshi white ).

Hey Pure...the White 75 in the 5 flex is a beast, but smooth...reminds you of the Kai'li in the smooth department, but lower spin. I have a Kai'li 80S that I have been messing around with and it was really good at the 78 gram weight, and just as smooth as my Kai'li 70x..

Yeah, the 05 is 81g which should work well. I don't mind the height getting kicked up a bit, but I don't want it to spin much more than the Speeder TS's do. I love how low of spin the RFE is paired with the TS's, if the Kiyoshi's are close in those #'s and feel as good as you say, we might be on to something here
