Happy to see this company making a driver. The adjustability ("flight control" they call it) looks a little convoluted to understand, but for me, I tend to stick with a driver setting anyway once I have found one I liked. The head is two-piece titanium (the body cavity and the face) and says the face is forged. Head is 450cc and traditionally shaped.

Interesting to say the least. Hosel adjustment is on the idea of the Callaway Opti Fit.

Incorporate design features (speed slot and sweet spot/face insert shape) of the Hogan woods of days gone by. They look good.

Like the idea of being able to adjust face angle/loft without moving the shaft and grip. Great for us ribbed grip users!

Look great but drivers might be a tough sell. Hoping I'm wrong because I'm a big Hogan fan.

I was a long time Hogan player before i switched to Titleist.
Nice to see this traditional company and Hogan name is back. Would like to see a PGA player presence on tour.

It is a very interesting business model. Great prices. Driver looks great. It’s probably close enough to being as good as anything out there that most won’t be able to notice any difference. I’m tempted to buy for sure.

I checked with them and they said the drivers would be available in the demo program within a few weeks. I'm intrigued, but not enough to throw $300 their way without hitting one. $20 demo program will be the way to go :)

I'm interested in the Fairway woods, specifically the 4 wood, since no one wants to make a 4wd these days....

Nice, thanks! I went ahead and ordered. Nice that they include a driver and fairway wood. Interested to try them out.

Me too. I jumped on these earlier today. I'm wondering if I can go by and pick them up.

Also interested in the 4w. Can someone post actual pics when they get them in hand?

I requested the driver and 4 for my demo. Let's see if they have it

  • dkelly1269dkelly1269 Members Posts: 104 ✭✭

Played one round with the 10.5 driver and the 4. Both are very solid feeling. I need to get the driver on a Trackman, it seems to be a very low spin head even coupled with the high launch, high spin Helium shaft. Very controllable and works both ways. I left the settings in the standard mode but will try it with the loft set lower this afternoon.

4 wood looks interesting.Going low spin on the Driver is an interesting design choice! Clearly targeting the Low Cappers! Reminds me of when i bought a J33r ? and just couldnt launch it!!!!! And thats still a Classic so well done....predicting an off contract PGA tour bag with one of these soon!

I will post a picture of the 4 shortly. It's a gem, by the way. With the Helium shaft it's very easy to elevate and long. It feels very solid, reminds me of the Callaway Steelheads I always loved.
I tweaked the driver to the low loft (from 10.5). I had to do the same thing with my XR16 Sub-Zero. The Hogan is very controllable, very accurate and was giving me consistently good distance.

Do they send the wrench along with the demos?

Here are some quick pictures of the 4. Sorry for the quality, it was so bright out I couldn't see the screen.

i have the driver still testing it out. A review was posted on youtube yesterday numbers were pretty solid. One thing it does come out of the box set a little closed but you can adjust to set it more neutral.
