a tour level strike on a 1 piece forging is all I ever need. I have been puring it lately, just peeling perfect divots that start on the other side of the ball.

pure bliss, nothing comes close.

I have two:

(1) A bombed drive (that cuts slightly-most draws feel like crap off the driver)

(2) A soft floaty pitch with no spin that lands soft and gently trickles out.

Well hit creative green side wedge shot for me....love it cause its not a stock shot and really tests your skills! These are also rare so gotta step up....side of hill with green running away and no green to work with so gotta drop in rough to kill the speed or you will be 40 feet by......now flop it 8 feet and let it trickle on to put it close or you suck!

Can't figure how to like my own posts

Non traditional, but the recovery from a poor drive. Like when you push it into the trees on the right and then hit a light hybrid out and put yourself in chipping distance with a chance to save par.

Not speaking from experience or anything...totally not.... :D

Makes ya feel like "yea, I know what I'm doing well enough to save myself from a screw up."

You're right.

And those super-solid blocks where a wide-open face and way inside path match up absolutely perfectly plus you middle the driver. Hardly a sweeter-feeling shot in the world and the best part is you get to tee a second ball up and try it again!

Playing a dog leg left hit driver and then 3 iron from 245 out and landed right on the fringe. Made an eagle putt that was about 45’ for eagle. That was my first time ever making a putt like that. It was great because I read the green thought I’m going to make this mofo and did. Great feeling just texting it brought a slight tear to my eye. ?

When your iron shot into the wind is so pure it doesn't move at all

If you play with a wide range of golfers, all it takes is a day with a 15mph or so breeze to separate out those who have the knack of solid contact from the rest of us who just slap it around half-assed. While everyone else is tracking down their wind-blown stray iron shots he’s the guy whose ball seems never much bothered. It’s the one guy not grumbling “This course is unplayable in this much wind”.

There was a guy at my former club like that. Good player even though he couldn’t putt a lick. And when the wind really picked up, he went from good to unbeatable. It’s because the middle of his clubface was worn out and he always made “that sound” when he hit an iron shot.

3i stinger off the tee, a flushed high 10y draw with a driver, a pinched wedge where the ball seemingly melts on the face or a putt struck dead middle of the putter that tracks dead middle of the hole from 20'...

To me it's not a particular club but hitting Par 5 green with my 2nd shot....it could be a long iron, hybrid or fairway wood.

For DJ it's a 7 or 8 iron but let's not feel too bad for him.

Without fail, the best shot I will hit in a round is the second shot on a par 5 after hitting a poor drive. If I hit a bad drive and am just trying to lay up with a 5 or 6 iron, inevitably I will just hit it perfect right on the screws right down the middle. Perfect. Now put that same club in my hand on a 185 par 3... and I will often struggle to hit the green. But there is something about a lay up on a par 5 where you have no expectations and no stress, and it usually comes off awesome.

I know the pattern well. But did you see Zach Johnson's layup with a hybrid of 17 yesterday?

What the odds of a Tour veteran like Zach going Wide Right and into the ditch on such a routine shot.

Nothing gets me like the flighted wedge shot. I love it, got goosebumps just thinking about it.

I was actually coming here to post this too. Played in a Vegas yesterday so hit a lot of 60-80yd wedge shots.

There is a great feeling to hitting a perfectly picked wedge to 3-5 feet

In no particular order:

A drive that looked like it’s on a string straight out with a slight draw or fade.

An iron/hybrid/feels that hit on the sweet spot that lands within ten feet of pin.

A sw that comes out high and soft within a gimme length of the hole.

A chip shot that goes in

A putt from any length that goes in as its dying.

I've been playing 15 years now.....And i am ready to state that for me, there is no better feeling in golf than hitting a 3 wood off the deck and hitting a par 5 in two. Let me state the reasons:

1) It's the longest club you hit off the deck, so hitting it solid and accurate and watching it rocket off a long way is a testosterone fueling endeavor

2) It's one of the hardest clubs to hit off the deck, so there is satisfaction in that

3) Hitting a par 5 in two is pretty much an automatic birdie, so that feels nice.

There are probably other reasons. Anyway, yesterday i finished my round (caution, non-passive brag alert coming) by hitting a 269yd 3 wood to about five feet.

I can't think of another shot that would've felt better

The striped 3 wood is the best, hands down.

Last hole at my course is a par 5 that if I nut a drive I can hit in 2. Its the perfect situation to end your round. If you hit the fairway it releases a little left usually, gives you the perfect lie for a high towering draw in that 250 range usually. Can't beat it.
