How long do your golf shoes last??

Several years. Current stock is 2 year old Adidas that I wear in wet weather. 5 year old FJs that are no longer waterproof but still smart and comfortable. Current model spikeless Skechers. Mega comfortable summer shoe. Looking at a new pair of high end shoes in sales.

Mine last a couple of years, they just start to look scruffy eventually. Splashed out on some my joys last xmas and they will last another 12 months. My partners seem to buy a pair and wear them continuously, often keeping them in the car boot, and don’t get much less wear.

Couple of years as a minimum.

 

My current rotation is:

 

FootJoy Icon Black - 3.5 years

FootJoy MyJoy Icons - 9 months

FootJoy Icon - 18 months

FootJoy DNA 2.0's - 2 years

 

I then have an older pair of Icon's and a pair of FJ Sports that are a little scuffed up and starting to become a little unloved when it comes to keeping them as clean as I should be they are abut 6 years old each and still do a job.

 

If you look after them and rotate them, a well made pair of shoes should last for as long as you need them to.

I only wear each pairs of my golf shoes 2-3 times tops before new pairs coming in so I still have shoes from 5, 6 seasons ago that look brand new. :pardon: I do take out all the spikes and clean with a tooth brush after each round of golf or driving range sessions so that helps make it look new as well.

which part?? the taking out all spikes and cleaning with toothbrush and warm soapy water or I still have shoes from 5,6 seasons ago that look new??

I've had mine for a little over a year. They still appear to be waterproof, so I'm just going to play them until I notice otherwise and replace at that time.

 

If your shoes aren't comfortable to walk in any more, just buy new insoles.

I've had a few pairs of adidas and nike that have lasted multiple seasons. I can usually get about 2 rounds in with brand new FJ's before they start leaking.

Usually after a year or so, I find styles I like better so I just toss the old ones out. May have a pair or two that are pushing 2 years and soon will be gone.

With proper care and usage you can easily get several years from a good pair of shoes. I have several pairs of Footjoy Classics that are about 20 years old that still look great. I don’t have the heart to toss them even though I rarely wear them now (heavy shoe relative to today’s models). Buy a decent shoe, rotate it’s use (multiple pairs needed if daily golfer), and routinely apply a good leather preservative. Currently I’m rotating Icon Blacks and Dryjoy Tours (depending course wetness). All are in their third season and still look good. Don’t expect to buy a single pair of cheap shoes, wear them daily, abuse them (no shoe trees), and get a long service life.

My shoes last a long time. I currently play at least 100 rounds a year, and all of the shoes in my rotation are more than two years old:

1) True "originals" - I bought these soon after True started selling shoes, maybe ten years ago. I didn't wear them for about 8 years, so they are still if great shape.

2) FJ Hyperflex Boa - 2+ years old

3) FJ Hyperflex - 3-4 years old

4) Adidas Tour 360 Ltd. - >15 years old, but still my favorite. I only wear them once in a while because they are a bit tattered. Still look okay if I polish them after each round.

5) FJ Dryjoys Fusion - > 20 years old(?). Nice old style saddle shoe. Still comfortable and waterproof after all this time.

 

Maybe my shoes last so long because I never use power carts. Shoes need exercise to stay in shape!

Wore my Adidas spikeless all season, almost to the day one year before receiving new shoes this year. They held up great for the most part, but I noticed I started to slip quite a bit more towards the end of November this year.

When it gets hot, I tend to wear TEVA sandals, unless I'm going to a course with serious rough. Current golf shoes have been used 2 seasons.

I get multiple pair of shoes, and rotate them, so they last several years. I walk almost all the time, but I am easy on my shoes. Also, I clean my shoes after every round.

I normally walk 40+ rounds a year. I had great success with some Nike TW 2013 that I wore for 5+ years. I have struggled to find a good replacement since they finally fell apart on me. The new puma shoes have been catching my eye for the upcoming season

In 3 months I have had 3 pairs of shoes develop the same issue - the sole of the left shoe detaching where my foot rolls over on the follow through.

Adidas 360 Boost, Callaway and Footjoy - all the same issue. Must be something to do with my footwork on the follow through, but frustrating. Each pair has lasted about 3 rounds and a few range sessions.

 

Looking for a pair now that actually has the soles stitched in some way and not just secured by glue.

Its you bud, walk 100 + rds a year in Tour 360's and have never even lost a spike let alone a sole.

Ever worn Eccos? Glad I found them and was able to try them on before ordering with the Euro sizing (would've messed it up with what I was planning on ordering).  But I walk a decent amount and get in around 50 rounds a year and the last pair I've had is going strong a season and a half in.

90-120 rounds a year.. I end up buying new shoes every season. Easily going through 3 sets of cleats per season.

The glue always comes away to remove the plastic sole on my golf shoes - and in a very short time.  Has to be me, of course, as I don't believe it's normal for a pair of shoes to last just a few range sessions.

Happened really quickly with my Adidas 360's too.
