I posted this link a couple weeks ago and i was actually thinking about it last night. There for a 3-4 week stretch we saw Tiger pretty much every week doing some type of event such as this. Since his now infamous rinsing of 3 balls at his Quicken Loans event 2 + weeks ago, we've not seen or heard a peep out of Tiger. I do fear he had a set back and we probably won't see him tee it up this year.

 

We'll find out by 5pm today if he's going to enter Jack's tournament next week. If he doesn't, then you can all but exclude him from Oakmont in 3 weeks as well.

I highly doubt we see Tiger this year. The patience he's shown so far in not coming back makes me think that he knows this is probably his last shot physically to give it a go. Until he believes that he can play 72 holes without fear of a physical breakdown, I don't think he'll come back.

play the Senior tour.

1..his kids are young

2..heavily involved in his foundation

3..golf course design very active

Etc

I think he could if he plays a selective schedule. If he would take the appropriate amount of time off and come back and play a semi-limited schedule, I could see him winning a handful of times at courses he's won on before. Bay Hill, Jack's place, Torrey, Firestone etc..

 

That's if he can get his game together once he's healthy enough to play.

I wouldn't say Daly is a flop from the perspective that who really thought Daly was going to immediately contend on the Senior Tour with guys like Langer? Daly hasn't really shown he can put together three to four good rounds in years, so I'm not surprised he's not finishing in the top ten immediately (although I'd like for him to).

 

I see Tiger as someone like Greg Norman with the Senior Tour. He might play a few events, but he won't be a staple of the tour.

I don't think Tiger is mentally there and I think he like the time off. He enjoys being with his kids and relaxing.

 

As for the senior tour. He will probably play all the men's majors, senior major, and some select Champions/PGA Tour events

He said he has not even played a full 18 as yet. A full round on tour would be 6 to 7 hours on his feet. For 6 straight days. He apparently is not even close.

Spinal fusions take a while to recover from. He's most likely taking a year off.

Daly has not been a great golfer in years. I would not expect him to dominate. I don't think anyone does. He's just fun to watch.

Is this your opinion doctor? Why didn't he just drive though and have it lasered off? What procedure do you think his follow up procedure was after 2 microdiscectomies? There's only one, spinal fusion. I won't go on. Do the research. It's fairly obvious.

That's an amazing video, I watched it twice all the way through. For the people saying TW is finished -- how can you watch that video and make that claim? TW is bombing it, hitting low and high shots, draws and fades. If he's not in tour shape yet then I can't tell. After another month or two he will ever 100%.

Because I can't see where the ball finished.. what his exact target was.. how much curve he had on his shots.

 

I'm a scratch golfer.. I can hit all nine shots on the range all day and get claps from a bunch of hacks watching me.. that doesn't mean I can land all nine shots within a few yards of my spot. Huge difference..
