Is it my imagination, or is the neck a little thicker than older persimmon drivers?

This may be “The One.” Naked Origin B2-01, 335ish gram headweight. It looks so much cleaner without a flange line.

Those slate wedges look to be gorgeous. I really hope they wear as good as they promise. But I just don't see how that'd be possible. Any chance you can't get us a picture up close with some good lighting to see the finish better? I'm hoping it shows some blue hues. Thanks ??

The shaft is a TT Dynamic from 1985 with 292 tip diameter.

 

So a normal shaft then, for persimmon. I just thought the neck looked a bit thicker compared to the persimmon drivers I have, and wondered if it had been designed that way to be stronger.

Either way, it's a beauty.

I will build it up with my iron shaft - a soft stepped Nippon SPB X and play it at 21* / 38.75". I could make it a beast with graphite hybrid + more shaft length, stronger loft...however I have that in my P790 UDI build.

I was just impressed you had an SPB shaft lying around. I thought they stopped making those a few years ago. In fact, the local second hand golf shop has a 3i-PW set of Epon Technica Pro I irons on sale that are shafted with SPBs. I've been tempted recently to buy them just for the shafts.

It definitely has a blue shade but it's subtle - I would say 3/4 gray, 1/4 dark blue. A really fantastic color. Earlier in the topic there's a great comparison with the indigo blue SM5 that was released a few years ago. Honestly, I'm keeping them in the box until my SM6 wedges wear out, so don't want to remove the film from the heads. I'm really sorry.

 

EDIT: I'm not sure where you are, but check your local PGATSS - I saw some in the stock form (Modus 125 wedge shaft, Vokey NDMC Black) in right handed.

I have the same pair. I love them and are perfect for golfing. That second lens looks like the prism golf lens, if so its great.

It definitely has a blue shade but it's subtle - I would say 3/4 gray, 1/4 dark blue. A really fantastic color. Earlier in the topic there's a great comparison with the indigo blue SM5 that was released a few years ago. Honestly, I'm keeping them in the box until my SM6 wedges wear out, so don't want to remove the film from the heads. I'm really sorry.

Saw them at PGA ss. Surprised at how black they looked. More black than blue imo.
