Well this is terrible news (that he's addicted to something, not that he's seeking help). If he is hooked on something, his game hasn't really been suffering. One win and two seconds this year. Over four mill in earnings so far. Definitely not at the top of his game but still doing really well.

Maybe he decided on rehab now so he could get well in time for the Ryder Cup.

And yeah - judging by those pics his fiance throws all over the internet, she's definitely an enabler here. He'd be well suited to go the Rory route before committing half his winnings to someone with the mentality of a 16 year old.

anyways, his talent isn't wasted yet. He's apparently looking for help and awknowledging a problem. If it is drugs, hopefully he can conquer those demons and come bac stronger.

Many of these athletes get addicted to pain killers that they are legally prescribed. That would be my bet. Then add in a pretty fast and loose nightlife-driven social calendar courtesy of the new fiance and it's a recipe for trouble.

Johnson always looked like a stoner. People who smoke marijuana can be led into harder drugs or a combination. I know a Guy which almost killed two people in a robbery and tried to kill two cops. His defense was that he was addicted to marijuana.

I heard he had a serious issue with the nose candy. The rumor was when he was out with his back injury he was actually suspended by the tour. Is this a suspension or a leave? I guess we will never know.
