Seriously who buys golf clothes off the rack?

Golf clothes are so expensive I rarely see anyone buy them for full price. $75 for pants $70 for shirts who pays that. I myself wait for sales or Ross or Marshall or lately not even worry about name brand anymore. I dress nice believe me but it doesn't take 300 get up to do that (including shoes)

I bought 10 Adidas ClimaCool shirts about two weeks ago for $175 total. They'll last me a good few years and I can wear them to work.

I'm amazed that clothes in places like Golfsmith are just so expensive.

I buy off the rack - at TJ Maxx. Picked up a couple Greg Norman shirts late last year for just a few bucks. They are really nice and comfy.

Can't imagine paying full price for them.

If people outfit themselves head to toe like in the golf mags it would be one heckuva expensive sport.
Its so rare I see ANYONE wearing a complete "look" like they outfitted themselves head to toe.
So much profit in all this polyester.

I always go to Nordstrom Rack. Got a couple Travis Mathew and Adidas golf shirts for $30 each. Couldn't imagine paying $70-$80 brand new.

Stumbled upon a big sale at Macys when the wife was shopping.

Door buster sale plus 20-% extra for cardholders. Picked up a Bunch of Izod shorts and pants for 15$ and Greg Normans. Shorts and windbreaker for 15$

I get my shirts and shorts off Amazon, Oakley Vault, and the UA Outlet, as well as in-store outlets like Adidas, Nike, and Ashworth. IMO, Oakley Vault has the biggest markdowns, if you can find the style and size for you.

Recently went to Kohl's and got some Fila shirts for $10 a piece after sale...and a few pair of Fila shorts that I'm very impressed with, nice fit and finish on them. I do most shopping online, but occasionally will make a DSG or GG or Kohl's or TJ Max run if I want something right away. Pride myself in having no brand loyalty.

If it is certain pants or shorts I like, I will, but will always try to hit the sales rack in those big box stores, can find some good deals.

Not I.....Between the Izod, nike, and Columbia outlet stores I can get nice golf polo's for less then $30 a piece. And I pretty much get my pants from the Izod outlet usually for around $20 a pop....
And I got my True Linkswear shoes for $20 slightly used off ebay...So I am usually into my outfit for less then $70...

I don't begrudge anyone that does spend $70 for a shirt. And If I had the disposable income I would rather to that at my local owned golf shop rather then at a outlet store. But my budget simply does not allow for it. I have to be thrifty....

I find what I'm looking for usually nike shirts or pants, try them on at places like PGA, Golfsmith or golf galaxy and murder it online and always find them cheaper on eBay. Some great sellers there. if they don't sell them they are stuck with them so things like Tiger or Rory's major outfits are left over and i just purchase them at a discount. Yeah it's takes a couple days to ship but it's worth it.
We all know what we like do your home work and you can always find it cheaper, that's why retail places are hurting so bad.

I get a lot of pants etc from the Izod outlets. Picked up some pants for $16 last time I went. I never pay full retail, I'm sure no one else does either.

Amazon! I am hoarding Puma NA Tech Polos right now at $39. They are my favorite polo I have worn by far. They actually breath, they actually stretch a lot side to side, the collars stay up and fresh, and the fit is perfection.

Most I ever payed for a polo was $50. I had to have it when I saw it and it was on sale from $79...

Buy a shirt and a hat vs a new wedge? I think I know the answer to that one.

I usually go to the Nike, Under Armor and Adidas outlets in the October - January timeframe. All of their golf shirts are usually half off or more and they are usually having other deals as well.

I work in a pro shop and we sell upwards of 100 polos a month, usually more. People still pay retail for sure

I buy in stores. Not only do I wear one of the least common sizes, I've bought online in the past only to find out the fabric was some weird texture that I hated. This happened with some Nike shirts that turned out to be this super-stretchy material that wrinkled easily and didn't lay right on the body. Wore them once and sent them to Goodwill.

I prefer to physically try on the shirt before buying. However, I rarely pay full price, I just wait for the clearance sales at Golf Galaxy, etc.

Can anyone point me in the right direction as far as buying from the web goes? I have some stuff from Global Golf coming, but it's still a little on the pricier side I think. 2 pairs of pants and two shirts ran around 180.
