I feel like I can play the driver for a quite a while. The irons I can probably find a used-or new if they go on sale-replacement set for the VPC. Even told wife this morning to expect to see a back up set. The desert is hard on clubs here in Phoenix but I want to kepp playing these irons. The engage wedges will be the hard ones to replace. I had ordered these with the S400 and maybe it is all in my head but the S200 wedge shaft has never been as good for me.

 

I may be wrong here (and somebody let me know if I am), but I believe the wedge flex on the Engage wedges is an S400.

I was told by my pro-a Nike staffer(or at least he was, not sure about that fallout)- and the Nike rep at a demo day that the VR forged and back were S400 but the wedge flex on the Vapor lines has been S200.

How are the two differentiated? Steps, markings under grip?

Should be tagged on the shaft under the grip. The s400 should have a lower first step...closer to the head.

Added: Found it, 2005. Seven wins that year with the clubs displayed, among the wins, The Masters and Open Championship.

 

The clubs displayed are drivers, fairways, hybrids, irons, wedges and putters; the clubs produced each year from beginning to present day ending.

Man I am one LUCKY SOB! Just about exactly a month ago I got lucky enough on a Sunday afternoon to tour The Oven!

 

Lucky timing. Not even expecting a month later the place would be closed. Glad I got to look around and see everything there and all the work the people there did.

Throwback to #17 at Cypress Point with an Engage TS done by Mike Taylor. I spoke to him on Friday, he was wishing my family and our new addition well, and on Tuesday the doors were shut and a lot of really good and extremely talented people were laid off.

 

I am truly bummed. Nike Golf became more about the great people behind the products, pushing R&D and innovation as hard as they could. They were every bit as passionate about golf equipment as we were and couldn't care less about the latest fashion trends or accent colors and focused solely on making their players perform at the highest level.

 

As I said in my WITB, it was always fun rooting for Nike and using clubs that not everyone used, I will definitely miss loving and hating their equipment.. and getting hated on while doing both.

 

This picture brings back great memories for me in my life and was honored to use some great equipment during that round that will never be seen again. :drinks:

I play an ignite 004. I'm pretty much straight through putting stroke. I tried the origin b2-01 and actually had the rors edition but they really didn't agree with me.

 

What other options would fit a straighter putting stroke? I like the center shafted 004 ignite. But I hit a method today that was the mid mallet. Enjoyed it. Any other ideas?

I was waiting for the new VPC to finally get a full Nike bag. Think I'm going to look for Vapor fly pro heads to compare against my Rsi TPs. I've hit a friends and can't really feel much difference. My last Nike equipment battle.

Now I'm contemplating VFP with KBS tour X flex (no up charge) and then toe sweep 56 and dual sole 60 wedges plus 1/2" to match up length wise. Then get a converge putter.

 

Or just get MP-5's and a Scotty..

 

But I did find VR pro combo forged new too for cheap. Matching wedges tougher to find though.

Check Dallas golf they should have some of the VR forged wedges. Thats where I got my 50/54/58 set when I wanted to match my 2014 Pro Combos

Kind of had the same thing going on. Customers coming in to the store asking me all kinds of questions.

I traded in a 2015 flex and pro since I have 2 new FLY drivers coming in. GG had 80/70 for each plus %15 when I set it up. $170 for two clubs that cost me $92 brand new was a no brainer.
