Lee is wearing his watch on his right hand in that picture. Is he left-handed in his non-golfing life?
Wearing a watch on your dominate hand is a sign of being a psychopath....

As cool as the grind is, the head shape and hosel progression of these are what really caught my eye. It just appears perfect somehow. Looking forward to trying these out when they're released.

Lee Westwood posted these pictures to his Twitter/Instagram account today over the weekend - shows the grind well.

It appears they are no bigger than the other Glide grinds. If so, a 60 may be in my future.

Oh My! Those look about perfect ... My procrastination to replace a club has paid off. Good chance this is going to be my next wedge.

Are these going to have the same stock shafts as the regular glides?

Solus wouldn't have existed without Ping.
Ping is really the first company to do interesting grinds on their wedges. The Eye2 and the Eye2+ were radically different. I remember players like Seve and Azinger using blades through the set but gaming Eye2 wedges.

I've said it once, but, maybe if I say it again, Ping will listen. After playing with my old Eye2 irons and wedges this morning, I can't help but think this is the perfect opportunity to release an entire set based off this design. The Eye2 shape and offset, but with modern technology (CTP, conforming milled grooves, etc) and an updated look that blends seamlessly with this wedge design. These wedges share the head shape, grind, and, more importantly, the understated, uncluttered aesthetics that Eye2 aficionados are drawn to. Bring out an iron set like them, and Ping lovers would flock to them.

Frankly, if my Eye 2s felt like the Glide wedges, I'd have ZERO desire for any other set.

What does ES stand for?
Eye2 soles are wide at the heel, they just have an aggressive grind on the heel.

Definitely going to give this wedge a go in a 58. It would look great with a original glide 54 SS and 4-U Ping iE1 irons with one of the great shaft options. Really looking forward to trying this new Ping equipment. The G30 LS Tec really won me over, and Cobra irons are pretty beat up now. Ready for a fitting.

Too awesome. Only thing missing is the free bowl of soup that came with that watch.

I seriously can't wait to compare the Glide grinds. I can only imagine how good these new ones are. Versatility of the old Eye 2s, but updated in a . . . more cosmetically pleasing kind of way.

:hi:

Does anyone know what the highest loft will be with the ES grind?
Hopefully the lowest is 21 and the highest is 60, and we have every loft in between. Sorry, but I'd just really like to see an entire set (irons and wedges) released off this design.

Ok just a couple of questions. I know this grind has been around a while but how much bounce does it have? What are the advantages to playing this grind? Is it pretty versatile for just about everyone? Maybe some dumb questions here but I'm curious. Thanks!
I think this type of grind is supposed to be low'ish bounce with a squared face and higher bounce when the face is opened up.
Don't put money on me though
