I would think a big issue in playing irons built by Frankenstein is that getting a backup would be difficult should one become damaged. Literally looks like a set built in high school shop class. :)

how can he have his driver tipped 2.5" when the kiyoshi limited only has a 2.7" parallel tip section, leaving only 0.2" for insertion? Guess he figures since he doesn't follow the rules with any of his other clubs, his driver should be no different. He's got unique modifications on every club which is pretty interesting to see,

You are right on. This is the set that came to be after he wore the groves off his Taylor Made single length irons. There is a great story behind his relationship with Edel.

He is so badass he's playing his F6+ without the weight? I'd be scared, right from the 1st tee <-- and I'm not even embarrassed to admit that

Also just noticed the 3 wood has two weights. Doesn't that usually come with one where you flip from front to back to get lower/higher ball flight? This guy has some $#!% going on for sure!

Will he be in high tops, joggers, and a flat bill soon? He went with a solid driver. I want to try that new King Utility driving iron, love the adjustability of it.

I seriously doubt it. He was a physics major. He's WAY too smart for many of us mortals. :) But I can totally see him at Cobra/Puma.

Isn't this his second set of Edels? Unless they're some modified version of what he was playing in 2015.

I hope the guys that are talking about implementing some of Bryson's ideas into their own bags take a real hard look at this WITB. Because it screams that this set-up is singularly unique and perhaps not best to be imitated.

Awesome and unique. The mystery to me is the 73* lie angle on every iron - can you say UPRIGHT?! The 123g JUMBOMaxx grips must make for a light swingweight. This iron set is like no other and when he turns pro it will be interesting to see what he ends up with in the bag. I don't think we will be seeing any Bryson Dechambeau replica iron sets at Dick's Sporting Goods................ :taunt:

All the different weights are to get his irons all the same weight (282 grams), with the same length shafts. He is staying with Edel for irons and putter. Bryson was/is looking for a driver, fw, hybrid sponsor. Looks like he might land with Cobra Puma.

 

You are correct. Bryson will stay with Edel for irons, wedges, and putter when he turns pro. The reason he switched irons is because these are the single length irons that Edel will be bringing to retail.

 

As far as woods are concerned, Callaway courted him VERY HARD, but he preferred Cobra and will sign with them when he turns pro.

That is wild. That driver seems so stiff, especially with he weight removed which would mean it would Flex even less.

 

Also I really like how he essential goes from a 3 iron loft to a PW loft in 7 clubs rather than 8. I can see this becoming a trend soon among better players sets. It's already kind of happening with the strengthening of GI irons

So his driver isn't "penetrating" or "towering," but his 3 wood is both "penetrating" AND "towering?" It's a marketing buzzword nightmare!!! Sweet set for a unique player.
