you seem like a man of gravitas. i had a gravitasectomy a few years  ago, but they didn’t get all of it. i have spells of gravitas, but they’re less frequent.

 

wasn’t chiding or anything like that. i’m actually fairly chill, for an old guy. esoteric at times, but never frowning as i type. cheers!

 

anyway, gotta go. the wife laid out the clothes i have to wear today. probably some lululemon stuff in lime green and pink.

And I enjoy bluegrass/Americana music.  This kid continues to do alright for himself, a survivor and native Michiganian.  Being from 'down south' isn't a prerequisite to appreciate the genre.  Appears that Del approves.

The hottest restaurant in town is Southern, we currently have 4 of them, one is great, love the fried chicken, hate grits though, there's maybe 10 BBQ joints in the county, only one of them is exceptional. The stuff in Charlotte is generally better by a mile. Southerners keep the good bacon too. They ship us the 2nd tier stuff.

Still not warm enough for umbrella drinks here.  No cabanas are up yet.  I drink them wearing a swimsuit (no pics).

Was just looking over some of the more recent posts in the Masters TT thread. It’s post after post of guys complaining about how the golfers look/dress. Multiple pages of guys complaining about Camilo’s collar being up. The guy has been rockin’ that look forever and absolutely pulls it off. But alas, this is GWRX and any player that doesn’t look like ‘cookie cutter pro’ is destined for ridicule. Sigh

For full context. I jokingly said I ordered the azalea shirt Hovland was wearing and would pair it w/my black Lulu joggers. Admit I was trolling to lure out the caveman homophobes. Bait was snatched within minutes and yes, thought it was ridiculous. So made a joke, didn’t get upset. As for your joke about it. I’ll just say hopefully it was after a couple + cocktails 😉

The singer in my old band was flaming. Spent 20 years vacationing a mile away from P-Town, got a lot of grief for both. There's haters everywhere, this place is no different. They just follow up here with how nice a person they really are, lol.

As an Native NC guy I can tell you IMHO you have to get east of Raleigh to get great BBQ. Back in the day the best Eastern NC style in Charlotte was Rogers BBQ on Atando ave. Now Mr Charlie Rogers passed and his kids cared nothing about the business and shut it down some 25 years ago now

I think it was Roger's (Mick Jagger was there a week before) we went to a couple times. I'll keep east of Raleigh in mind next time I go through. Up here, like any restaurant now, they don''t put a lot of love or great basic ingredients in anymore. Post 2020, eating out has gone down on the experience.
