As a child I would take the beating instead of eating any sort of egg dish, fried egg, boiled egg, stinking egg salad, omlet all were a no go. Made me sick to smell it cooking and fried egg sandwiches were a staple in the house.

In my old age if it is fully loaded (an omlet) with everything possible and covered with ketchup I can keep it down, but it has to be the only option available.

All you egg people are sick eating those nasty deviled eggs, boiled egg filled with egg salad or some mix of crap. It amazes me how some folks go nuts over them.

Being a creature of the Pacific Northwest I have never eaten farm-raised salmon.  Yuck...

Funny how childhood olfactory offenses can carry into adulthood. 
 

The smell of tea would literally make me ill as a kid and to this day I cannot stand the

smell of tea. Nauseates me.

I won't buy any seafood that doesn't say "wild caught".

 

But then again, I'm trusting that "wild caught" means what I think it means. The way people

twist words around maybe that fish was wild caught on a fish farm.

I get it. I'm the same way with people that eat greens. 😁 BTW, i just got done with 3 eggs over easy with toast and strawberry jelly. YUMMY!!

Oh I realize I am the minority about not liking eggs. I love breakfast and a egg free breakfast is toast...if am traveling it is a BLT if possible or hash of some kind. 

My father was old school and you stayed at the table until your plate was clean and what was put on your plate was what there was available.

I sat for many an hour in front of cold eggs of some kind, I am sure some of it was me just being a pita and like my old man just plain stubborn.

I eat eggs often. They are an inexpensive source of high quality protein. Eggs were falsely

accused for a long spell but eventually the charges were dropped.

My wife likes eggs ok but she gets grossed out big time when they're not cooked completely. She doesn't do over easy. And I totally understand why eggs don't appeal to everyone. I mean, they do come out of a butt.😂

Ya, I'm over easy but my wife is over medium. I make her cook her own eggs as I'm not 

going to be responsible for the white being done while keeping the yolk runny for her

to dip her toast in it.

 

What is it with women on this? I've had 3 wives and they all the same with this egg

This was a nice brunch with sunny side up. The one on the bottom is actually gnocchi with spinach and diced pancetta. Off the hook ; )

Understood. I had to stay at the table until I finished my asparagus or peas, both of which I hate.  Lucky for me the table had a small drawer just below my place setting. Many a pea and many an asparagus stalk ended up in that drawer when my parent's heads were turned. I would sneak back into the kitchen later and put those dreaded items in the trash. I don't think they ever figured it out.  And they never figured out later how I could become a vegetarian while in college.
