Weird, but it feels less smooth than my Anser Milled. I'm a little disappointed actually. The Vaults at the PGA Tour SS felt great, so I'm going to test this one against those.

That slate looks great. Think that is the one I'm going to get. How much toe hang are you getting on it? Hoping it's a pretty good amount.

I have a VOSS in Slate finish arriving anyway now.. still TR grooves.. grips aint much to look at but they feel pretty good in the hands. Can't wait for the arrival..

I haven't seen the Vault Arna but I did see the ladies Arna GLE at my local Golf Galaxy. The toe hang was right around 4:30.

I just acquired a Voss which should be here end of week. I'll post how It feels vs my Redwood D66, one of my favorite milled Pings.

 

As promised, here's my comparison of the Ping Redwood vs. Vault. For reference, I tested the Redwood D66 in black nickel vs. Vault Voss in platinum finish. This is my humble opinion, other's results may vary.

 

FEEL: I'll say this, I initially hated the feel of the Vault with the stock grip. Nowhere near the solid feel of the Redwood line. I've never used a Superstroke, so i couldn't get used to the larger size either. Proceeded to swap out for a PP58 midsize and feel dramatically improved. Still, Redwood produces slightly more solid feel. Sweet spot hits with Redwood feel as good as any milled putter I've rolled. Because of the deeper TR grooves, Vault gave me slightly less feedback, but not by much. Vault produces a higher pitched click when struck.

 

PERFORMANCE: TR grooves work as advertised. I was getting more consistent ball speed across the face. Mishits didn't feel as harsh either. Due to the deeper milling, Vault requires a noticeably firmer stroke to reach the hole. On an 8' putt, I'd find myself leaving putts with the Redwood 6-8" short when immediately hitting after Vault.

 

LOOKS: I love the clean simple lines on the Voss and the ball-sized cavity aids in alignment. I find myself more drawn to the slightly darker finish of the Redwood, but Vault should be easier on the eyes on bright sunny days. I really like the headcover on the Vault. The magnetic closure is awesome and unlike Velcro, won't cause any scratching from pulling the cover off and on. The stock headcover for Redwood is garbage, IMO. It doesn't take long for the red material to start cracking and peeling off.

 

In conclusion, I am glad I added the Voss to my collection. I initially wrote off the Vault line because of my distaste for the first gen TR grooves on the cast Karsten TR line, but the 2nd gen TR grooves with the milled Vault feel much better (especially without the stock grip).

Definitely may be location based. Their website is showing their full line available on my end. My local store had the G30, G, i200, iBlade and S55's on display racks.

Only "A" stores carry the PING line of clubs. My local Dick's is an "A" store and also has full line of Scotty Cameron putters in stock at all times.

You can order anything you want tho from any location.. My store has everything except mizen but I can get whatever.. it does suck not to have demos of some stuff so I understand

The pp60 feels fantastic to me. Like a flatso 1.0 but with a tiny pistol at the top and a ridge underneath. I love it. It's the best grip I've ever felt and I only demo'd it on a right putter and I'm lefty. Dicks doesn't carry many lefties for me to try so I roll the righties just to get the feel of them and I loved it.

For sure! I probably won't be buying another putter in quite awhile though but it's good to have that info.
