Got a Scotty that took 3 weeks, and 2 cobra hybrids that took over 3 weeks as well. I hope the 765's ship soon. Mine are with DGS300 (no shaft options through global) so there shouldn't be an issue with shaft delays

What is the advantage to ordering thru global golf? Did you trade in clubs?

Global golf had the best price that I could find. With the most recent (expired now) 20% discount with a stackable 10% and free-shipping codes, it brought the price for a new set (7 irons) to about $767 ish.

 

Getting 40% (now expired) trade in bonus to some junk I had laying around and it was a no-brainer.

I've had a z765/965 combo in the. At now for two weeks. Shafted with modus 120x. I must say they are so smooth and consistent. I love the feel and the ball flight of these. To be honest though there's really not a ton of difference between these and last years model. I was just able to order these brand new for only a $100 dollars more so that's why I went with them. Great sticks though and I would for sure go with a combo set if your are a better players.

Don't know if it has mentioned before but the srixon 745/765 and mp-25s look a lot like tourstage MR23 / z101s. And that's not a bad thing at all (cool)

I agree. They look even more like the Tourstage X-Blade 701, which is the one set that I keep no matter what. This makes the 765's pretty tempting!

I need an opinion. I've hit my buddies 745s and liked the feel of them and had good turf interaction. Currently game the 716 AP2s in 5-PW w/ Modus 125X, 1deg strong. Love the shaft but not sold on the irons. I feel like I've lost distance with the AP2s when I switched from my Vapor Pro Combos almost a 1/2 club to a club more. I feel like I have to swing out of my shoes to get the distance back. Got on the monitor and my spin is fine and the other numbers to, But on the course is not relating to the monitor. Shots seem higher than normal. No one has the 765s to try that's is close to me. Thinking of just pulling the trigger and getting my money back when I sell the AP2s. What's a guy to do? Any make the switch from 716 AP2 to the 765s and have any regrets or you glad you switched? Thanks

Prior to me placing the order I asked. Global golf then told me to place the order and select "money order" and then call it in so that they could contact Srixon with my order. Once they placed the "custom" order, they charged me directly. They list the irons having s300's, but they can call Srixon directly and place the order for you with any combo of the no upcharge shafts and grips.

Looks like you can get a set of wedges (blades) in Japan for the Z 765s. Same as last generation. There's also some Cleveland Forged wedges.

EDIT: Meant to add that I'm coming from 716 AP2. That's about the 15th instance of folks saying they lost distance with the 716 AP2 and I want to investigate.

I love it, think it's one of if not the best utility iron out.

 

I tested both the Callaway APEX and Titleist 712U, this was much softer feeling and easier to hit.

The tmb i felt wasn't near the forgiveness of the U45, i didn't think of it as a "utility" but more of a bigger players iron.
